What Students Say
Likes
- There is only one class for one year so you know everyone.
- Is in the heart of delhi and all the planning related institues are nearby.
- Has a huge alumini network and the college has a good value as it is the best college of planning in India
Dislikes
- The college has very poor infrastructure.
- The college is very small. There are two blocks - planning and architecture block and both are around 500m apart and also the college doesn't have area for anything. It can't be said as a campus
- Hostel is far from college and there is no transportation facility
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very vast and broad. It covers many aspects and after pursuing this course you can divert into many fields. We have subjects related to planning mostly and also we have other subjects related to computer softwares, photography, environment, social science, real estate etc.
Internships Opportunities
The college doesn't directly give intership opportunity but you can consult with your faculty and they will help you in getting intership. And as it's one the best institute in planning, you'll get intership easily.
Fees and Financial Aid
Every semester the fees is around 50k. It starts from 42k in first semester and then it increases. This includes every fee except the hostel fee. I'm in general category so I don't receive any scholarship.
Campus Life
As the college is small and the campus is small, there are only a few students studying here. So it is totally different from a normal college. Our college has a different type of culture which has its pros and cons
Hostel Facilities
The hostel for first years is in the college itself and for others it's a bit far from the college. Both the hostels are very old and the infrastructure might not be that good but living in hostel is a good experience. From 3rd year onwards we will get single rooms
Admission
This was my top most preferred college as it is the best college in India for planning. I was getting admission in school of planning and architecture Vijayawada before this and I got into spa delhi through the csab allotment
Faculty
The faculties are of good expertise in their fields as it is the best college for planning in India. The course is more practical related. So we have studio and theory subjects. In studio we have reviews which are marked on a weekly basis. Theory exam is conducted once a semester. There are no internal exams and the internal marks are given through assignments. Half of the studio marks are given in external jury.
Night Life
The college is very small and there is only facility of hostel for first years only in the college campus. Even though there is a restriction of entry and exit time of 11, still we can go out and come back late. And as the campus is small, it's not always on at night but the other hostel is completely lively at night
