Remarks

Anna University affiliated and it is very well known. Teachers are friendly.they teach very well.i love computer science and engineering. So i choose that coarse. Because the facilities here for my subject are second to none” – this shows that your subject has been at the forefront of your mind when making a sensible choice of university, again demonstrating your level of commitment to it. You can mention specific facilities to show that you’ve read into it thoroughly. “Because I liked the approach this university takes to my course” – even within the same subject, every university takes a slightly different approach to the way it’s taught and structured.

Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus is new. Yes I was provided enough industrial exposure. Faculties are very good. According to me, teachers are well educated and friendly. They helps us giving extra classes,books and encourage us.

Yes our college arranges a lot of events. Every year some celebrity comes in our college like singers, Actors others. These programs are very big, a lot of people joins in the program. Students can easily join in these programs.

Campus Life

Yes there is a play ground in our college. Yes wi fi is available here. The library is very big and full of books. The environment of study room is very good. Labs of physics, chemistry is very good. Every practical teachers are very Friendly.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Reasons to not apply for NSHM Knowledge Campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Exams are generally spaced well throughout the smemstwr allowing adequate time for preperation , how ever the frequenxy can sometimes be overwhelming particulary during peak study periods , but the diffulty level isnt that concerning and they are easy

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Pros and cons of a bachelors degree in calcutta university
