Course Curriculum Overview

5

the courses offered by my college is based on semester system. this helps the students to gather more knowledge duringe the limited time of the course and makes the students suitable for jobs. the labs are awesome and very well maintained. the sudden class tests make students more efficent. the professors are always keen to help the students for higher studies.

Placement Experience

3.5

well, this is not a technical college so basically they don't have internships but for the well structured b.sc courses many companies like bengal chemicals, infosys, l&t, tata organize campusing for employment

Fee Structure And Facilities

fees are feasible. they are not expensive. all the students from different social layers are ablble to do their study here. fees starts from only 1200 rupees to 10000 rupees varies on differenr courses

Fees and Financial Aid

yes the college offers various scholarships for meritorious and economically weak students. to attain the scholarship, one have to pass some exams conducted by the college. students also get scholarships like rajib gandhi fellowship, vivekananda fellowship etc.

Campus Life

4

the students can participate in various activities like sports ( cricket, football, basketball, tennis, table tennis, swimming, boxing etc) and inter college competition such as debates, ncc, workshops on various projects and topics etc. the college is not biased on gender cast and creed. many cultural and social activities like tree plantation, blood donation, disaster management etc are taking place here in this college.

Alumni/Alumna

well, we share a very good relationship with the teachers and the senior students. seniors helps for the study to get more knowledge. I have got a person who completed his course in 2005, he supported me too complete the course and to achieve highers marks. he helped me by giving his books and study materials.

Admission

I have got the admission thourough my marks obtained in the higher secondary exam. this a beautiful college and it got A in NAAC 's gradation. I have done b.sc honours in chemistry. I chose this college because of the wonderful laboratory and an excellent faculty. this is the one of the best college for chemistry.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

I currently in 2nd year, so I don't have much idea about placements that college offers. But have a brief idea on the besis of the seniors. My collage provides internships, and the average package is also good. From the sixth semester one can become eligible for internships. My plan is to study further, Msc and PhD.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.
