Remarks

The college is located at Janakpuri, much better than other colleges of IPU. It is one of the top colleges of this university. Placement cell works hard to get students placed. Companies like Amazon,Google FIS, ZS visit the campus and large number of students secure placements. Hostel facility is available for outstation students.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is manageable by the students. Some teachers put their hearts out and make the students understand the concepts very easily while some do not. They just want to get done of the formality of completing the syllabus. Assignment,tests and internals are there so that students can prepare for end term exams. Industrial exposure is there but more is needed.

Placement is for bpo companies mostly. Students do get placed in companies like ZS,Ihs markit. Mass hiring is from Amazon, concentrix, google fis. DE Shaw is for show off. Placement team is helpful and stay back till late night to help students in problematic situation. Placement director has good connections.

College Events

Fest is organised in the second week of January. Avensis is the technical fest and Genesis is the cultural fest. These fest witness an average footfall of around 4000. No celebrity comes for the fest. There is not an 'EDM' or musical night as other DU colleges have. Students organise the fest and work hard to make it successful.

Campus Life

Basketball, football, badminton teams of the college have won prizes at the University sports meet regularly inspite of limited resources available. Wifi is available only in library and have limited access. Lab equipments get upgraded but more is required. Library has large number of books, journal, articles sufficient for academic purposes. Book bank provides books for engineering students only.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are given on sharing basis. They are quite small for two people. As time passes, students get used to it. 55 seats of the total 130 are reserved for 1st year students. In the first year, no problem in getting hostel accommodation but from 2nd year it is tough for students having attendance less than 75%. Management has a hand in allotting hostel.

A students insight on his college

Placement Experience:

Eligibility is 5th semester onwards you can get campus placement. Deloitte, TATA, nestle, other big MNC's Highest is around 20 lacs and average is around 5 lacs. 60-70 % students get places but it can be higher or lesser depending upon the crowd of students , their talents. I think I would choose a professional course like civil servant.

It's a decent college, but better than many other colleges

Placement Experience:

Final year students(5th semester) are eligible for the placements, many famous company recruits, like Deloitte, flipkart,amazon and there's many local companies as well. The highest pakage in 2024 was 24LPA. 20-30% students gets the placement as most of the students opt for Higher studies or get into competitive exams. The jobs offered are based on your course.

In first year you are eligible for internship. Deloitte company or so much companies visited our college. Highest package of our college is Rs. 23.5 lakhs per annum from bajaj capital company. Percentage of students vary from year to year. My plan after degree is to get a government job.

I applied for Maharaja Surajmal Institute as it's known as the SRCC of GGSIPU and it has the highest placement packages in comparison to any other Colleges of GGSIPU and it is ranked the top college of GGSIPU so I opted for admission here and no I didn't get rejected from any universities I got admitted to the one I wanted it's just that you require alot of patience and need to be active about the admission forms being out and all. To get admission in the BBA program at Maharaja Surajmal Institute, a student must have completed their 12th standard or equivalent from a recognized board with at least 50% marks, with English as one of the core, elective, or functional subjects. Admission is primarily conducted through the IPU CET exam held by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. However, students can also be admitted through CUET if their name appears in the merit list and their rank is below 500. Based on the CET or CUET rank, candidates are called for counseling where seats are allotted.
