Entrance Preview

I took JEE and opt for mechanical engg. My score was around 15ki got admission in mechanical engineering. But i have interest in computer science but i didn't get that but somehow after onward i love to learn mechanical.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course was four year course including eight semester. First semester was generic to all stream then from the next year i landed into main stream. Course was well developed to gather and boost up mechanical knowledge.

Internships Opportunities

College internship occurred on second and third year of the course. It's three-month curriculam.

Placement Experience

It's really good training and placement officer helped us lot to get more than two or three job. It's really good for all. Lot pre placements training done to groom the students.

College Events

We have lot cultural events organized during winter and summer. Lot of sports activity also held to gear up students.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't receive any loan. College don't have loan or emni faculty but students take loan from Bank to contribute their study.

Faculty

Faculty was really good and knowledgeable. Help us lot to achieve our target. Mechanical faulty lot of time helped to screw much better they counsel each student to find out their drawbacks and get rectify them.

Reality of IIT KGP

Placement Experience:

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

SURTECH REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.
