Remarks

The college is reputed and is located at a prime spot in kolkata. Conveyance is so easy for anyone living in any part of the city. This was the main reason for me to join the college. Other than that, the college is neat and clean. And the teachers seemed educated.

Course Curriculum Overview

As i mentioned before, The teacher seemed educated and actually they are highly educated. Most teachers are from IIT's and NIT's with PhD and M.Tech degrees. They are extremely helpful with our doubts and education. The course is under MAKAUT(Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology), which needs some improvement.

Placement Experience

In our department the placement is little low. Although one can join any Tech company, but the core company recruits less. Only 30-40% people from my batch got into core company, rest had to join IT companies, which is not bad considering there is such low job opportunity in the market.

College Events

The campus life is brilliant. There is a healthy competitive vibe among the students which leads to many tech fests and events throughout the year. We have cultural clubs too like singing and art and dance, etc. They organize all the cultural events in the college like freshers, teachers day and farewell.

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

placement is very good in this college many tech giants vist the campus such as google microsoft delloite apple tata steels, thhe average package is about 16 lpa highest is 80lpa approx 148 companes visted this year and total offer for cse is 157 out of 190

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

I got this college by counselling as per my WBJEE rank. This was the best college I got according to my rank and was very good.
