Remarks

I chose this college because discipline is its core point. One can never trace a person roaming here or there. The college provides good opportunities in extra curricular activities also. Overall I found it best.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is well designed with the syllabus updated from time to time. The faculty is very much supportive and experienced. The college also provides industrial experience during the Induction program.

Placement Experience

The opportunities are very low in terms of on-campus placements but all the students outshine in off-campus placements because along with curriculum studies all students go under personality development programs.

College Events

The campus provides extravagant exposure to extracurricular activities like music, dance theatre, and sports competitions. The college also conducts many on-campus events. The college always wins youth festival

Campus Life

The campus infrastructure well consists of all sports grounds and clubs. Giani Zail Singh Auditorium has a good seating capacity. The WiFi is of good speed. The library consists of around 2.5 lakh books.

Life at Chandigarh University A CSE Student

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.
