Remarks

Meghnad Saha Institute Of Technology is very well known for its high placement record. Especially in our stream. And with my rank i was getting chance in this college easily. The campus is nice and less crowded. Which aids the study environment.

Course Curriculum Overview

Most of our faculty is helpful and qualified and knowledgeable in the subject. They help us with our doubts and problems. The teaching quality is good but not great. But the course curriculum is not very relevant. For us IT, CSE students the course makes us ready for interviews but not really industry ready.

Placement Experience

Almost 90% of the students in our course got placed. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 1.5 LPA. The average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like LTI, Sopra, Infinite, Mindtree, Hitachi, Nineleaps, Persistent, Fusioncharts, Informatica, Hexaware, GS Labs, HPE, Cognizant, Wipro, Byju's, IndusInd and Mphasis visited our campus for placements.

College Events

We don't have big fest or fun events in our campus, and I would like events like those to be organised hugely for twice a year, as those are also required. Extracurricular activities are performed through various clubs in our college.

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
