Remarks

According to my ranks in wbjee, this was the best college i could get in. the college is good and has a well known history of proper campussing. the infrastructure is good too. it's reputed in kolkata and the teachers are very well qualified.

Course Curriculum Overview

Some faculty members here are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was average. Courses offered in this college are as per the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. The syllabus is very old to prepare the students ready for what the industry needs now.

Placement Experience

Around 85% of the students in CSE and IT got placed in companies like Microsoft, TCS, Cognizant, Infosys and etc. The highest package was 11 LPA and was offered by Microsoft, the second highest was also from Microsoft and that was 9 LPA. The lowest package was 2.5 LPA, and the average was 3.5 LPA.

College Events

The crowd here is good with poor girls and boys ratio of about 1:5. Every year our college has a Tech fest named "PARIDHI" which is one of the well-known tech fests among the engineering students. Other events include sports and cultural activities.

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

placement is very good in this college many tech giants vist the campus such as google microsoft delloite apple tata steels, thhe average package is about 16 lpa highest is 80lpa approx 148 companes visted this year and total offer for cse is 157 out of 190

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

I got this college by counselling as per my WBJEE rank. This was the best college I got according to my rank and was very good.
