College Rank at national level, Campus culture including club activities, sports facilities and fests, Well established Alumni base to guide in all possible sectors, Graduation prospects including jobs and higher education.

College Syllabus was not updated since 1990s, mostly C programming is still followed in the first year. And the syllabus for mechanical subjects is also conventional, manual drawings is practised instead of CAD and 3D modelling. Mostly the lecture model is Professor reading ppt material in class but a few proffesors are really dedicated and make the class lively. Prof Partha Pratim Chakroborty's class on Artificial Intelligence is a really enjoyable one. Prof Anandroop Bhattacharya's class on Heat Transfer was fabulous and conceptually enlightening. Business and Finance courses from VGSOM as optionals are also quite interesting.

I am currently interning at JP Morgan Chase for Software Engineer profile and the stipend is 75k per month. The process of selection was through coding tests and various interview rounds.

Tennis, Badminton and Basketball courts are there for sports enthusiasts. A large athletic stadium for athletic enthusiasts, cricket, football and hockey fields. Round the year various fests are organised such as Kshitij, (Tech Fest) Spring Fest, Entrepreneurship fest, Management fest and also some departmental fests are held The Spring Fest (cultural fest) is most prominent amongst all and the quite popular among the eastern region colleges and also across the country. It recieves a footfall of around 50k viewers.

I was not eligible for any scholarships as they are provided on family income basis and for the reservation quotas. One of the popular Scholarship is known as MCM scholarship available exclusively for lower income groups and reservation quotas

Campus infrastructure is at par with international colleges. The sports and gym facilities are well equipped and well maintained. The swimming pool is quite lagre and is a comfort during the humid times. The Student Gymkhana, the student administrative body facilitates various events across the year. The Nalanda Classroom complex is well equipped with projector and sound technology for superior quality lectures, the air conditioning is also quite good. The library has a huge collection of books for the entire student community of about 12000 students. The campus wifi boasts net speed of around 50 Mbps. The labs have gotten bigger and well equipped with time and multiple new labs are emerging across all departments.

Hostel facilities are provided for all students as it a residential college complex, also it is mandatory for all students to stay in hostels. Some hostels are new and some are old and thus the sharing basis also differs across different hostels. The rentals are about 35k per semester for almost all hostels including the mess charges and Gymkhana membership fees.
