Priyamvada's Review On Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College - [SGTB], New Delhi

I chose this institution because its the best in India for Bachelors in arts. I was very keen on perusing English and the syllabus here appealed to me. I have a few relatives in Delhi so my parents were okay with sending me. Another factor was the fact that I was already familiar with the local language used here, i.e. Hindi.

The faculty for my department is truly amazing. They focus more on teaching than marks. They are highly experienced and have good knowledge of their field. They are also easy to talk to and approachable. Teachers encourage students to come forward with their doubts, even when the college is over. Truly one of the beat teachers I have ever met.

I have applied for a few internships and my application is under review. There are new opportunities for internships almost every week, due to the efforts of the placement cell.

Some of Indians top companies come to recruit students. There are so many companies coming in, that almost everyone who wants a job can get it. There are more opportunities for students perusing commerce.

The campus life so far has been amazing. I have spent an year here and I am so happy, just like everyone else in my college. The vibe is very positive. Societies are great and provide various extra curricular activities which are at times open to all. We have exhibitions, seminars, competitions, and much more. The college is also full of opportunities and wonder during the fest and election season.

My college is located in the heart of North Campus which makes it easy to go to other colleges for seminars, competitions, etc. SGTB Khalsa is famous for sports and we have a football field in the college, along with two sports buildings. We also have the second biggest library in Delhi University. All the classes have a working AC. There’s also a gurudwara in the campus and Girls’ Hostel with ACs and many other facilities.

The hostel of our college usually has vacancy. A room has three people staying together, it also has an attached bathroom and a balcony. The rooms are cleaned properly on a regular basis. We have a microwave, fridge, AC, few water coolers, wi-fi, etc. Food in the mess is good but not great. There are various rules, the wardens are strict and make sure that the rules are followed.
