Remarks

All the faculties are well educated with a sound academic background. There are good teaching and learning methodology not only online but also offline mode. Good academic background. Friendly atmosphere, good quality foods are supplied by the canteen. One central library with 5000 books with good conditions. It is located at Baruipur.

Course Curriculum Overview

There is a good job scope in Mechanical Engineering. Well, experienced faculty members are there. Teacher students ratio is 1:15.

Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities

All the faculties are trying to do an innovative project. Some students get chance internships with stipends in L&T, Tractor India Ltd and many more.

Placement Experience

The good placement record is there. Most of the students are placed in reputed organizations like TCS, CTS and many more. Lots of the job scope is there.

Fees and Financial Aid

College fee is not so high like other colleges. There is a scope of getting scholarships for meritorious students. After the 3rd year, there is a campus program.

Campus Life

Friendly atmosphere. Fest is organized once in a year. There is one central library with 5000 books. Modern classrooms. Cultural club.

Hostel Facilities

Good quality of food is supplied by the canteen. Only two numbers of students are allotted in a room. Good environment. Cleaning operations are done regularly.

There is a regular group discussion class. Training classes are provided for campus interviews. Lots of online question-answer round is there.

Placement Experience:

1)From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. 2) Cognizant , TCS(most fav), Wipro, startups, IBM visit for recruitment . 3)In 2023 highest was 45lpa by amazon average is 4.5lpa. 4)From our Hostel each and every senior get placed. some with good package like tcs digital, even off campus (2025). 5)My plan is to take a job and enter in IT firm to learn and teach new technolgies through my YOUTUBE.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally i opted for electrical and electronics instead of the branch of my choice is because my scores were not enough to secure a seat in CSE. But EEE is pretty cool as well for those willing to grow in this branch. Our curriculum exposes us to the rapidly growing sectors in the industry and educates us of all we need to know about the course in depth. If you want to continue ahead in a research field, this Institute is the most supportive. The exam questions are also relevant enough and considering we only need to actually stress over end semesters, its fair enough per semester. It would be better if our professors removed the attendance criteria rest im fine with everything else

Don't be a minimum guy, Choose GKCEM

It’s Greater Kolkata College of engg and mgmt. under JIS group is one of the best colleges around for students. Though my department of Mechanical Engineering is favorite for its labs, facilities, faculties and it is as good in other sections also. Certainly, our college provides adequate infrastructure and quality teaching of the faculty members here. This college is affiliated to MAKAUT University and many top companies visit the campus during placements. The senior are quite helpful to the juniors.Its an anti ragging campus. Infrastructure is quite good but not the best out there.Faculty percentage is little less at least what i felt throught my academic session but atleast better than other colleges.Labs are all in working condition with lab technicians.College offers some workshops and webinars very pften to allow students to indulge to get insight into industry relevant ideas....Read More
