Course Curriculum Overview

This college provides the subjects that are very much needed in the IT industries. TOP of this college provides specialized classes for placements. If any new technology comes to market, the college will try to adopt that technology.

Internships Opportunities

Vairous internships has been provided by the college like pwc launchpad, Infosys, TCS etc. Not only this many govt internship like BIS and others were provided. In a whole there is no problem related to internship and placements.

Placement Experience

College provied campusing every year. They try to make every student to be placed. The avg package of this college is near about 3.6 to 4.8 LPA. ALso off campusing facilites are there. Even internship opportunities are provided by the college itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fees are not to high in my case it was 115000 per year but it may vary for other admission year. Tution fees are ok studens are paying near about 52000 to 68000 per semester depending upon the admission year. Hostels are aloted at a fixed free of 12000 per semester.

Campus Life

There are many clubs to exlpore for students. HITinside, Needs, Samapan etc clubs are there. Many tech , non tech and social clubs are there that provides opportunity for students to explore the social as well as team management capability.

Hostel Facilities

In hostel 4 times meal have been provided including clod and hot beverages. Every rooms of the hostel has attached bathroom for the help of students. A bed, pillow, matress and chair is provided to each students.

Hostel Fee: INR 24000 per year

Admission

First of all this college only provides the B.Tech degree in a low cost, other than any other private colleges in West Bengal. Even the location and road connectivity are good enough. As the location where the college is located is totally covered by industries, it is easy to get placed.

Faculty

Each batch is provided two mentors to control and circulate information among students. Batch size is 70 which is very good. Faculties are very friendly. They are always ready to help studends. If you consult with faculty they will help you in research also.

Night Life

College has Aryabhatta central library, which helps students to study and collect information by is massive amount of books, journals, papers etc. Not only that every dept has their own library that also provides books to study. City center is just 1 km away from the college providing massive market for fashionist persons.

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, IBM,Amazon and many more visits the college and companies like TCS and Wipro take mass recruitment and companies like Amazon offers 2-3 job . Approximately 85 percent of the students gets placed . My plans after getting the degree is to get a Software Developer job

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

From fifth semester you are eligible for the intership . And from seventh semester you are eligible for the placement. Many companies visited our college such as TCS , IBM ,COGIZINANT, amd many more . The highest package is around 15 lpa and the average package is 4 - 5 lpa . The placement ratio is around 80 - 85 %

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

I choose haldia institute of technology as it offers a good balanced between affordability infrastructure reputation and academic quality espicially for btech conputer science. HIT is the oldest private engineering college in west bengal with nice nirf ranking with huge campus of 50 acres and well maintained Hostels for boys and girls Average 4-5 lakh placements TCS infosys wipro I have aimed for jadhavpur and IEM kolkata but couldn't make it due to wbjee rank just below cut off some private college were out of my budget like amity and kiit The admission process is smoot and take students through wbjee counseling then seat allotment after this documents verification then admission...Read More

HIT, Haldia Better then Government Colleges of West Bnegal

I have got some government colleges but the placements were worse in those and this college has a huge number placements you know.. for addmission in this college 80 percent are from WBJEE 10 percent from JEE mains and 10 percent from management Quota. The addmission process is quite smooth just fill addmission form they will verify then pay the semester fee and your addmission is done ? verification step is most important there during addmission. I applied to this particular college because of the low expense and it being near to my state, it takes 6 hours to get there which is why I chose to stay at hostel. Good facilities are available, you will not have problem navigating the area however be careful of your surroundings.
