Internships Opportunities

So many Software companies like Tata Consultancy Services, Congnizant Technology Solutions, IBM, Wipro, Accenture, CESC(Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation) etc. We got stipend while we did internship project from TCS and Indian Railways.

College Events

We enjoyed various cultural programmes in College throught the year. Events like Freshers Welcome, Annual Cultural Programme( Named as Utopia), Swaraswati Puja, Biswakarma Puja, Technical Fair, Debates, NASCOM .

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees need to pay by semester-wise near about 17, 000/-. This includes infrastructure fees, tuition fees, Lab charges. Exam fees are to pay separately.

Campus Life

We had gender ration 80%-20% (Male-Female) in college.I hostel we had 4 members in a room at 1 and 2 year . In last year we had single room.

Exam Structure

Every week we had we had Class Test of 30 Marks. We had surprise Test concept for which we were prepared every day and that is the main reason we were up to day with our syllabus. At final we had Semester exam arranges by our University.

We got very experienced Faculty staff who were dedicated and make us helping in every aspect. Some are PHD holders too. We did so many projects under their supervision.

GOOD College at low fees.

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

Placement Experience:

The placement statistics are off the charts, with 367 offers being made to 361 students in the recent edition. The student can seat for internshps offered by diffent companies that visit th campus in their pre-final year, while they are eligible to seat for the placements in their final year only. Apart from this there also other restrictions for seating in the placements like Cg should be above 8.5 and there should not have been any disciplinary charges against you, etc. The companies visiting the college also have their own preferences for selecting the students. In 2024-25 the highest CTC is nearly 2.5 crores p.a. offered to a student of CS branch. The EC department getting the most number of offers i.e. 73.

MCKVIE, a good college for its price

I applied for admission in many colleges like Siliguri Institute of technology, Heritage Institute of technology, Techno Main Salt Lake, Calcutta Institute of Engineering and management. (Through management quota) From the above, I got a confirmed admission in CIEM(Calcutta Institute of Engineering and Management) but i later opted for WBJEE Counseling to try my luck there. I put many colleges in My WBJEE preference list. It's very fortunate that I found out about MCKVIE at the last moment as it was a very good college considering its low price. From the colleges that i opted for both in counseling and management quota... most colleges were too expensive for me, or i was not able to get the desired course. MCKVIE was very suitable as I got CSE with a semester-wise tuition fees of around 55k. The admission process of my college was fairly systematic, I got Core CSE through WBJEE Counseling and got my seat throught WBJEE+JEE Rank. Overall admission experience was a bit lengthy process because it involved the Counseling procedures, but it was smooth and the officials were helpful and well prepared for all kinds of inconveniences...Read More
