Remarks

College management is quite good. Plus the atmosphere is quite good near the college since it is close to the Sea.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum was well defined and aligned with Mumbai University. It is quite relevant and fair. It has definitely helped me being a better professional. Few teachers had really good experience in teaching since they were from phd background and used to have great knowledge on the subjects taken. Plus project support was also provided by the staff.

Placement Experience

3.5

Internships provided are less but placement is quite good. Overall IT placements are more than for non IT courses. Infosys, L&T infotech and Engineering Services, Capgemini, Bristlecone, Zycus and various small firms came to college for placements. I got shortlisted in Infosys.

College Events

5

Zodiac is the big festival in our college. We used to have a lot of cultural events like DJ nights, Traditional Nights, Fashion Shows, Dance and a lot more fun activities. Apart from that we also used to have project competitions in our college where various colleges used to participate. It was at national levels too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was good at the time I was in college. It was almost fixed for three years. Fee was 80000. And other accessories had to be bought separately. But overall it was not very high in comparison to other good colleges in Mumbai. To secure an admission there were no charges. It has to come through only either entrance exam or CAP admission process. Transparency was also provided on the fee structure. It was well defined.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes state government scholarships were provided to minority students of 25000 Rs. We used to avail it through stte govt scholarship website. It was made completely online and easy to track.

Campus Life

5

College used to have equal amount or males, females in the college. Extracurricular activities like sports, project competitions, robotics, fun activities, trips, etc were more to keep the students excited and motivated for studies. No gender and religious discrimination faced in college. Everything was quite smooth in my 3 year tenure of Engineering.

Hostel Facilities

5

No I did not stay in Hostel and PC's. But yes there were several PGs near college at affordable rates for student. No exact figure is known to me since I have never been in PG or Hostel for stay. But it used to good including food approx 1. 2 lakhs annually.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes alumni and seniors were very helpful in placements and other support required. They used to actively support us in college fun cultural or placement activities as and when required.

Admission

The admission process was very smooth. It is managed by the Mumbai University directly through CAP process. Since I was from diploma background. I got direct second year admission to degree in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology. In the first CAP list, I had to provide 20 colleges of my choice. I got 10th option as Rajiv Gandhi since my overall percentage was 85. 82%. College admission process is a one day process to submit your fees and for document submission.

Faculty

4.5

We used to have 5 lectures of one hour and 2 hour practical. Staff in the college is pretty good and qualified to do the job. They had good knowledge and expertise on the subjects. Lab assistants are also pretty good. Some professors had industry experience and use to provide us insights which eventually helped us in our career goals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Electronics and telecommunication engineering is best branch. And there is also best teaching of hardware as well as software and also in which attendance is mandatory. They shows how to use the academics with real world applications. By taking hardware practicals. I think no need of improvement but i gives improvement in attendance. Please don't take attendance mandatory.
