Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum composed by MU is enticing with eagerness to learn mkre about it i chose this. The curriculum chooses well as the current scenario is outside world is as vast as the sea goes so its better to dive into a world full of knowledge. It should mostly be based on objective oriented though. Well the frequency and timing of exams is perfect.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are offered by various companies which include the ex students of rgit to big companies like tcs and even small enterprises. With a stipend from 10k to 20k. And there are n number of projects covered up by students witha great supports from staff and authorities ?? like departmental websites to merchandise apss.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for campus placements in the 4th year. Many companies visit our clg like tcs and wipro. The highest package can range upto 20lpa. The percentage of students getting campus placements is below 40% though. I plan to join armed forces after my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 125000rs in my first and second year this fees incudes the over all stature of receipt which includes all kinds of tuition fees others fees differ according to their caste. On caste basis some students are paying 5000 rs as fees while some are paying 70k.

Campus Life

Till not many functions were held like marathi day and freshers party but i think college authorities dont focus much on events. The range of resources in library is good with daily availability of newspapers. All the facilities in labs and room are good with varied range of technical aspects. Sports and others activities dont have a great demand in our college but yes there are very good number of sports enthusiasts.

Admission

Well i got my name for RGIT list in the first cap round itself but i wanted a better college like spit so i tuned rgit as plan b. I didnt get rejected from spit its that i never applied for other options like mechanical in spit. I chose cs in rgit. The minimum cgpa for comps dept is above 85 i guess and i had 94.83 and there were many bad cases about admission with students.

Faculty

The faculty to students ratio is 1:20 and the faculty student relationship is quite good. Well pallavi ma'am was the best to be precise. There are few i dont like but dont wanna disclose their names... they are basically self centered. There are in total 3 exams a term. With good curriculum.

Night Life

Our college starts from 8 30 to evening 4 30 and we all enjoy a lot. Study and enjoyment indulge well together in here. All the valued zones like labs, cafeterias an libs are as per the mark. Our college dont have hostels though my friends do live in pg nearby. There is beach nearby and good cafes around with a lot of peace that anybody would want.

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. My experience of iiit pune

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements once they enter 3rd year of college. Some notable companies that visit the campus is nomura, walmart, amazon, nvidia and they take 5-6 candidates each while nomura takes 15-16 per year. The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.

1) I had also applied for other colleges like Thakur college and Somaiya college and I got addmission in thakur but didn't take admission as I was getting Information technology branch as a cource. I got admission here through spot round i got a seat in vartak cs branch thru mh cet but it was a ews seat which was cancelled due to delay in ews submission because of an error from my side. keeping past aside i would say rgit is a decent clg but try for cs or it if possible and in case you want to get thrpugh spot round come asap and for management quota u should come before cap round 1 otherwise they charge u like crazy before spot round cs seat was for 6 lakhs after spot round it was available for 12 lakhs...Read More

My Experince about MCT Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology Verosva

So i was getting B.Tech Chemical Engineering in NIT Srinagar but just beacuse of my boards marks i was not able to take admission in NIT plus my family said in kashmir instability and the I was getting a seat in SPIT Mumbai but just missed it by 0.43%tile so then I take admission in Rajiv Gandhi Institute fo Technology beacuse it is close to my Home like 10 - 15 minutes on Bike so If i have any Emergency I have assuarance I Will be at my House within 15 Minutes this is main concern as my friends took admission in COlleges of Vashi Panvel Vasai Virar Regretting it.For Admission you need Aggr 50% in boards P C M/Electronics in my case and you can get admission via MHT-CET band Yeas through JEE too but All India Quota is very less seats.Overall admission exprience was smooth and I Got my admission in around 3rd Round of MHT-CET...Read More
