Remarks

College managment should encourage technical activies which would lead to better quality of engineers rather than not focusing on only the courses. Should remember student are matured enough not to treat them as school going childrens .

Entrance Preview

I didnt give any entrance exam as i have done polytechnic so direct second year admission throught DTE admission process which is conducted every year after declarition of Diploma result for all over maharashtra

Course Curriculum Overview

2

As all know if you are a computer branch student then nagpur university is well behind in course content so most of them is theory and practical knowledge is very less colleges cant give external knowledge to you some of the subject are interseting and ofcourse rtmnu as inlcuded english subject that to in 6 sem .College takes classes for training and development purposes visiting faculties come and tel you about resume writting and inerviews.

Internships Opportunities

No college doesnt provide intership for students .If you have got internship from outside then sometimes principal would not give permission to you attend it he would check your attendance first befor giving any permission.

Placement Experience

0.5

Any college in nagpur doesnt have campus for there college except three colleges i.e YCCE RCOEM and Raisoni all other campus are open campus ivery few students are placed through placements or campus most of them go for higher studies and remaining search job by themself or references or join there family business

College Events

1

Every dept have there own festivals so technical festivals are generally depending upon there branches Computer branches have gameing and programming in technical festsand during ganpati festival there used be ten days program but since last 2 3 years that is not ben celebrated and college fest name is shikar but this year it was also not celebrated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Depending upon college fee structure is expensive but we cant blame college for it there is commitee for it i.e shikshan shulk samiti which decides the fee for all colleges so open student have to pay nearly 80k or more depending upon which year you are in OBC have to pay 50k and SC/ST have to pay below 10k

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholorshp are provide by state i am availing one of them i.e 50% Discount or paid by the state goverment on basis of caste state have divided into categories that are OPEN OBC AND SC/ST open have to pay full fees OBC have to pay 50% fees and SC/ST have to pay only some fees they have 100% fee waiver but some fees called development fees have to be paid

Campus Life

4

College campus is big have lot of open space .College staff wants you to fill like you are still in your school days they wont allow to leave college till last lecture is ended you cant roam around by bunking lecture most probaly you would get caugth and you would be taken to HOD and they would call at you home or start scolding you. even if you came 30 mins late get ready to stand outside college gate till someone comes and start scolding you there.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

i dont live in hostel but i visited once room are spacious 3 student live in one room .very few hostel rooms are available just one floor is given for hostel rooms. there are two option for PG's one to live in kalmeshwar where depending upon room rent would be arround 1k to 2k and other option is to live in nagpur city that means in city limits rent around 1.5k to 3k .

Alumni/Alumna

I havent come across any alumni till now so are they helful or not dont know there isnt any program like alumni meet or any kind of that.

Exam Structure

like every other college there are 2 sem in one year in 1 sem there are 2 unit test and a pre sem examand internal practical exam and a exteranla practical exam so in all in one academic year you have face 4 unit tes(2in each sem) 2 preliminary exam(like a mock university exams) 2 internal practical and 2 external exam

Admission

After Diploma result are declared DTE first announce date for selling of the broucher kit .It contains Unique id and password with that you have to login at the dte site and enter the details like name college percentage of diploma and ssc .and physical documentation is done at the Dte authorized centers and i think GNIET is one of them in nagpur other is goverment polytechnic others i dont remember. after that a provisional merit list is displayed if anyone have any problem then there is 2 3 days for correction and then final kmerit list is displayed after some days option form have to filled online for college you can give different options but there are some rules like if you get college in 1st four or something or that in first round you are not eligible for second round so it have to be filled carefully they give 4 to 5 days for this after that college allotment is done if you want college assigned to you then you have to report college for further procedure like payment of fees etc.

Faculty

1.5

Very few faculties are good other are newly appointed faculties who have passed out engg in last 5 years most of them are young who are not experienced .Plus point is as they are young they are interactive with students and are not boring they know how to handle students. HOD's dont like this things so they take meeting with staff everyday in lunch time and try to put pressure on them. They want students to attend all lectures.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
