Remarks

Our college is the one in which our lives are very much attached to. So we all love our college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Our course curriculum, exam structure etc. helps us to be a better professional. Our course curriculum includes luctures, seminars, presentation, dissection, laboratory hours, Clinics etc. Each and everything playan important role. But among these the experience we get from clinics is the one which make us a better professional.

Placement Experience

5

I haven't availed internship because I have to go through many years to get through it. We have internship opportunities within our college. After our final year, we all will do house surgency which is our internship and also done in our college.

College Events

5

Our college coducts so many events. Never waste a chance to celebrate. We celebrate onam, Christmas, Eid, New year, valentine's day etc. We conduct debates on recent issues monthly. Cultural events are also conducted. Arts fest are conducted yearly. Athletic meet also yearly. Intercollege sport meets are also conducted.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Structure for Govt and private college are different. For govt college it is about twenty five thousand rupees and for private colleges it is about five and half lakhs. Since our college is government, we have to pay twenty-five thousand rupees for each academic session. payment done in the college itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college helps us to get scholarships and educational loans. There are Scholarships based on merit and caste. They all are applied through online and print out submitted to college.

Campus Life

4

Our campus life is something beyond words. Speaking about the gender ratio the number of girls are very much above the number of boys. In my class the gender ratio is 81:69 ( girl : boy ). About extracurricular activities. Our college is famous for sports than arts. We yearly conduct cultural events, athletic meets, Karunyam palliative programs etc.

Alumni/Alumna

Our alumni network and seniors are very much helpful to us. Our alumni network is conducting a Pg cell which helps to crack PG entrance.

Admission

Admission to my college govt T D medical College Alappuzha is through an entrance exam. The exam is called National Eligibility Entrance Test or NEET. One who need to get admission they should go through the entrance exam and have to get a rank from one to thousand. This margin is to get admission to a government college. Date of admission normally starts from July and ends by the end of August.

Faculty

4

We have a number of faculties in ech department. The facilities are designated as Head of the department, associate professors, assistant professors, lecturers, senior residents and junior residents. Each department has a number of faculties with same designation. They teach well and help us to achieve big.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is a bit tough rather than other courses (professional courses) MBBS is a 4 year course with 1 year compulsory internship dealing with a total of 13-4 subject over the 4 years The curriculum prepares us for the real world experiecne but more often the clinical subjects aim in patuent student interaction that overall help in the achievemnt of professionalism The frequency if exams are very high as there needs to be regular revision of subjects in order to prepare for the finals and perfect in all clinical theory and oractical aspects

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is of high relevance as it ensures that the student learns everything he need to learn in an mbbs life to become a good doctor. The curriculum we are now following is decided by the National Medical Council (NMC) of India and is CBME curriculum. The curriculum include many Self directed learning methods and small group discussions etc which makes the learning interesting and easy. The curriculum definitely prepares the students to become a good doctor in future. Some minute improvements are still required like no need of these many SGDs for community medicine and forensic. It'll be better to include more field activities in community medicine . The frequency and timing of exams are sometimes a burden for the students as the exams are so close and they are not getting enough time to improve themselves which may affect their confidence. Sometimes the exams are scheduled in between some meets conducted by university which makes it difficult for the students to participate.
