Entrance Preview

I gave JEE, GGSIPU Exam, VIT entrance, Manipal entrance and BITSAT. I got very bad rank in JEE and VIT and got above average ranks in GSIPU, Manipal and BITSAT. I chose to go with GGSIPU because I was getting the stream of my choice and the college was close to my home to.

Course Curriculum Overview

The IP university course curriculum for engineering feels redundant at times. We have a few subjects that we could have done away with. It would've helped us focus more on the subjects that matter.

Internships Opportunities

No internship interviews have taken place yet. Placement interviews are conducted in the 7th semester in GGSIPU. In some colleges the companies hiring 4th year students did also interview for interns but not in ours.

College Events

There are various events happening all through out the year. The major event is the GATES which is the annual college fest. It has many competitions from all different fields. A student can either choose to take part in an event or can even hold his/her own event after taking prior permission.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is not very complicated. First year students have a slightly higher fee than later year studnets. My fees in the 3rd year is about 87,000. This is not too high but i don't feel that it's justified as the college infrastructure and campus are just averag.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not aware of any scholarship or loan facility offered by my college. But our college does provide an option to pay the fee in installments.

Campus Life

Campus life is not very happening. Their is no strict attendance so you can just stay at home and most of the people do. The sex ratio is pretty balanced considering it's an engineering college. Obviously being a minority Institute it has a high number of Sikh students.

Hostel Facilities

Their is no hostel accommodation available in our college. But the college is located near a residential area so there are plenty of PGs available. The average rent for a PG is about 4,000.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors are very helpful. They can give you valuable insight on how to prepare for tests and which books to use. They can even help you with any project related work and dealing with teachers.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is very good. We have two internal sessional exams per semester. These are for 30 marks each and take place for a whole week. There is ample of time between the two sessional so you don't feel rushed. And after that we have the finals. We have ample of time to prepare for them.

Faculty

GTBIT being a minority Institute has quota for teachers as well. The faculty isn't very good. Some teachers are still knowledgeable and helpful but are too few.

From Classrooms to Campus ; my dtu journey

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

NIT Delhi: A Balanced Blend of Academics, Opportunities, and Campus Life

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

A decent college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students get hired, obviously, and they get a decent package. Highest package from our college is 52 LPA. Average package is 7-8 LPA. Highest package off campus is 1.2 Cr. Per annum.

I applied to all the colleges that come under GGSIPU and in the 1st round I got HMR and in the 2nd round of IPU counselling I got this college and then I booked this seat and got my seat allotment letter after paying 60000 for the required seat allotment fees! I chose this college over HMR because HMR is very far away from my home and this college is still nearer as compared to HMR As I said I applied to all the GGSIPU colleges but I got HMR is first round which is very far away from my college so I didnt chose it. So i didnt get rejection from any other college! The admisision process is very simple. You get the college on the basis of your JEE MAINS rank. Eligibility of this course and admission in college is 60% in pcm in 12 boards exam and jee mains entrance exams with good percentile. We can apply and find application form from GGSIPU site and we can fill the registration form and application form from there own site .Dates are mentioned on the GGSIPU website so you can check there.
