One of the good choices i made.

EAMCET - 2900+ rank. I wanted CSE, and among the available colleges, this had good reputation both for the college and for the department. Also the placements looked decent. This was in top 5 in JNTU affiliated.

It was rigorous and well formed. It had all basics one requires to pursue a good computer science career. I took computer architecture as one of the subjects in 4th year. This helped me understand the nuances of the Computer science discipline in detail and indirectly helps me even today in my job, by giving me a different perspective to think on when a problem comes.

I haven't looked for internship jobs as such but I had done a project myself in college. Because the project i was interested was not a regular computer science application, rather it was to do with networks and its research on one of the algorithms.

They are good. All Service companies will recognise our college and even some product companies come through to placements. TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Intergraph, Convergys, Sonata and many other companies in the list when i was in college. The launch into the real world was more important, and GRIET helped us in every step of the preparation.

There are tech events called pragnya. Pulse the cultural event. College day on republic day. We also have competitions of various things like, dance, art, singing etc. Sports also had its own events. We even went across and became winners/runners up in many inter college events.

I had 1.2L for all my 4 years as college fees. Other fees also were very reasonable back then. Now i heard the structure has changed, by the government itself. So i am not sure if my information is still valid.

I have not opted this. But i heard there were regular scholarships that were government driven.

For the one who wants to pursue any extra curricular activities and can manage time well, there are all facilities available in the college. All you need is the yearning to do it along with studies.

We have a group which interacts with each other. We help Final year students when they need help. The placement office also is in touch with us. As you can see we are still well connected.

Internals Best 3, which will avergae to 20marks. Externals of 80 marks, will give total on 100 scale. It was a competitive pattern and we had to learn as much as we could. This is same across all JNTU colelges but the prep for exams was a bit more sophisticated in our college i felt.

There were 3-4 of PhDs. Well read and qualified. The rest were are all M.Tech graduates from reputed colleges. This gives us the leverage of more intellectual faculty compared to some colleges where we have B.Tech's from the same college pursuing teaching career, whose value add might just be very low.
