Mcom in WBSU

college isn't so developed.There is a room for lot of improvement.Student engagement is major issue .Lots of attention must also be given towards sports and cultural events so as for all round development.

Course is 2 year for Mcom and semester pattern is followed for examination.As the university started in 2008 not much of research oriented it is but computer labs are provided for Mcom students to practice.

placements are average.Although a placement cell i set up to provide training and develop soft skills but still only 30-50 students are able to get placement .Few of placement companies are TCS,L&T,Nicco etc.

As it is newly formed university there are not much events celebrated but few important ones are given a formality .Also, west bengal major festivals are given importance ,although student engagement is really missing.

fees is feasible .Generally everyone can afford easily .For general candidates a amount of Rs 7600 is charged while for SC/ST a further reduced fee of Rs 7400 is collected.Student from any financial background can look forward for studying here.

college provides infrastructure for gym,sports ,museum,heath care unit.No major sports achievement can be seen .there is a lot growth expected in extracurricular .As of now there is poor arrangement for these.

Not much of alumni network can be expected from this university as placement condition is average .Seniors are very helpful in guiding juniors in their curriculum and also from placement point of view.

Admission in Mcom is through test.minimum eligibility includes honours graduate qualified in 10+2+3 format or equivalent .For the students who are still appearing for their final exams they can also apply for reserved 40% seats.the entrance test would include 50 questions each carrying 2 marks and negative marking of 0.5.

Faculty provided is not so experienced .All the teachers are assistant professors generally .Few of them are good though but not all can be counted as good.Details of few faculty is displayed on website too but those are only 8 of them.session isnot so interactive.
