Course Curriculum Overview

BSc. Mathematics is very difficult but our teacher s r very helpful. But only problem is that we need to have 60% attendance which is a bit difficult for students who come from far like me. I think the rule of attendance should be changed.

Placement Experience

Major partners are wipro, Delloite etc.i got selected in one of the campus recruitment held in September 2019 conducted by Delloite. Comparing from other colleges in tricity, they have the best campus recruitment.

College Events

Lots of programs are held and our college is one of the best participant in every contest. Our principal is dr. Balraj thappar who conducts these events .

Fees and Financial Aid

Special scholarship are available for those who are from backward classes, sports, achievers and for physically challenged students.

Campus Life

Labs are clean and very safe. Sports is held every year.we have a gym in the college too. There is union of students also which help to participate in extra curricular activities like sports college general secretary election and many more.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are very helpful. Very friendly and interesting by nature. No ragging is done and the seniors guide us very nicely which is a major plus point for every junior. They also encourage us in our study.

Admission

I filled up the admission form and then i went for councelling.then i got a call after some days and i was admitted to the college. The teachers contacted via form and called for admission. And then i got admitted.

Faculty

The faculties are highly qualified and professional. Most of them are PhD and the knowledge you gain is so vast that i can't describe at all. In last you are not required to take any coaching if you are regular student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is not hard ofcourse but it's pretty old fashioned and non modernistic . No technology inculcation in the curriculum. Difficulty level is not much . There should be modernisation of the curriculum. More technology inclusion . More tech based learning . More practical education.

THE LIFE AT DAV COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

We do have a training and placement cell which is run mostly run by both students and teachers. Students with good percentile can sit for placements and can get place into companies which are mostly from BPO and sales background. Students are eligible for campus placements in their 5th semester. Companies which have came in our college in 2024-2025 are Sri ram insurance , Kotak insurance , Planet spark , De shaw , Zomato etc. Highest package offered is around 5 LPA and average package is around 1.5 LPA. I have planned to go for higher studies after my graduation, most probably I will be doing MBA.

Elgibility was easy as people for any background rather say commerce , arts , non medical or medical . Eligibiltity of my course was just on my 12th class's board percentage. You can find the application form, application fees and application dates on the official website of GGDSD COLLEGE, CHANDIGARH There are reservered seats for specific castes although i am from general category so i did not get any type of reservation. The exams are held every 5 to 6 months after the semester end. And they are held from 9:30am to 12:30pm and 2 pm to 5pm.
