GGDSD COLLEGE FROM STUDENTS PERSEPECTIVE

Being computer enthusiast , Bca drives me to take the course so that i can learn easily the concepts of coding Curriculum was easy so that people from ang background can pursue Daily there were practical classes for coding so that students can learn the concepts easily We were assigned short tasks such building games, chatbots and websites which just adds up to our skill. Moreover, at the end of course we need to gave full fledge working website to out faculty on basis of it we are declared pass.

Intership oppurunity is quite saddening as students have to search it for off campus.No on campus intership are there except for placement drive. Pyschology department do provide such oppurtunity like working in MHI(MENTAL HEALTH INSTITUTE) with proprr LOR. Moreover , working with any club of college proviedes u work experience in your field plus LOR'S

Placement cell of out college is quite good. Placemenr drive generally start at the beginning of 5th semsterbof every 3 year course. Companies like DELL, HDFC , ICICI BANK, ACCENTURE, DELLIOTE and many more came to provide employement. Highest package after UG is 10 lakhs offered by company to our college student.

Fees of BCA per year is 52000 under the affiliation of Punjab university Students from ews section , sc .st background do get concession Campus releases forms for students those secured good grades in one year for scholarship Adding to responsibilties, i was event head of my college event .Additonaly , i was the vice president of my theatre society of college that gave me oppurtunity to enhance my personality overall.

Infrastructure is quite good..there are total 6 blocks (IT CELL, COMMERCE BLOCK,ARTS BLOCK,JOURNALISM BLOCK, BLOCK FOR MBA ANR PGDM, SCIENCE BLOCK) and admin block There are 2 auditoriums one is the main and other is mini. There are differnt clubs like sarv saksham for theatre, Rotract club, enactus , aesthesia anf many more which proviedes pupils with oppurtunity to enjoy college life to the fullest Differnt cultural events such as fund raisinh event, LGBT friendly programs etc.

Elgibility was easy as people for any background rather say commerce , arts , non medical or medical . College doesnt have any entrance exam for admission.Students are admitted through centralized admission under DHE chandigarh. Punjab university offers admission to those students those have good grades in class 12th. Based on merit sd college offers seat to students.Counselling is in blended mode as u chose either of options.

There are overall 5 teachers per subject on 60 students of my course Bca which provides flexible learning as one can clear their doubts. Approach is practical as there are different kinds of webinars by professionals to guide students and different coursed such as python , ML , and Data science course provided by IBM to students that shorten industries tie up with pupils Teachers provide assignments like daily powerpoint sessions so each students get involved easily. Weekly webinars,placement drive and many more educational trips are their to give hands on exeprience to pupils
