Remarks

Positive thing about my college is it very greenish. All you can see in our college is trees and you get peaceful and calming and soothing experience there. It's very eco friendly. Negative is our college should focuss on sports related things. They should pay more attention on this matter.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Semester system is followed by our university. We have two semester exams a year. Our degree programme is 3 years which includes 6 semesters. Each semester includes about 6 papers. The first two sem is mainly focussed on languag papers. As sem goes on from year to year our selected topic ( my sub physics) increases. I have lab exams in 4 th and 6th sem. My main sub was physics and my complimentary was chemistry and maths. To be honest i am totally diasppointed by the way university treats their students. No punctuctauality in exams, no proper management, no proper study time. All they want to do is to write exams and to make robots.

Placement Experience

0.5

To be honest there was no such thing like placements or job oppurtunities things in my college. Students get scholarships as part of gov schemes but not by the college. I think in the past 6 years there was no such thing like job placement happened in my college.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got vidya sammuntii scholarship from which I got 10000 rupees a year. But it is provided by state gov not by college. Our college does not provide any scholarship like this. I got this scholarship for only one year because i forgot to renew this.

Alumni/Alumna

I don't know any of the alumini association therw. I think there is no such thing in our college. We have a friendly atmosphere with our senior students.Fights are there but not very often.Senior students often help us in academic matters.

Admission

The whole admission procedure is based on 12 th mark list. Admission procedure is online. I applied online in kerala university website by submitting the marks i secured and also my personal information.I was in NSS(National service scheme) implemented by central gov so i got bonus point in degree admission.Allotment procedure started after 1 month of online submission. I got alloted to SN COLLEGE CHATHANOOR which i didn't liked. But i have to take admission there to look on to the following allotment.I got alloted to MM NSS COLLEGE KOTTIYAM on my third allotment. There was like small interview which was more like a certificate verification process.Though it was a merit seat i have to pay about 6000 rupees to take admission there.

Faculty

3.5

Our principal was a bit tight person. She was so strict. We dont have the permission to use mobile gadgets inside the campus. There was no space for freedom. Main thing in that college was to study. Nothing was given more importance than that. Even our faculty was worse than we expected.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Bsc electronics, it has an attractive curriculum and some of them are influenced me in some way. The facilities are well-known about the curriculum preparing and all. The current curriculum is good but it needs some changes. Include more practicals is one of my suggestion. Teaching methods are good it doesn't need any change. Exams are conducted by Kerala University, so the college can't do anything in main exams but the college will complete all the portions before the exam date it is sure.
