Remarks

Satisfactory management that pays due attention to the needs of the student community.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum and exam structure are decided by the MCI and is standard structure followed throughout the country. It is clinically oriented to provide the maximum exposure to the students as well as to prepare them for the different kinds of situations they may find themselves in later. The clinical orientation coupled with the large variety of cases available that the knowledge the students amass during their course duration is sufficient to ensure a good base to build their career

Placement Experience

5

The internships are held at the hospital under the college for a period of 1 year and is this quite adequate to acquire the hands on experience the profession demands while they work and gain knowledge across the various disciplines of medical science.

College Events

5

The college hosts as well participates in a large number of sports and cultural programmes including the famed intermedicos championship. Apart from these they also organise various workshops and seminars from time to time. The average attendance is around 20000 to 30000 from across the state.

Fee Structure And Facilities

30000 rupess per year paid in cash is the course fee. Being a government college the rates are quite feasible and transparent. Additonal fees to be paid amount to nearly 8000 rupees at the time of admission with a refundable caution deposit of 10000 rupees

Fees and Financial Aid

No. The scholarships were mainly provided by the government depending upon the merit and means of the student.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus is life is probably the best across any medical college in the state as it is the only medical college to have a college campus separate from the hospital campus. This ensures a quiter and more private atmosphere for the students. There are students from different parts of the country with an equal gender ratio. Several clubs and teams in the college have performed well across different events throughout the state.

Alumni/Alumna

The college alumni is a strong one and takes active care in ensuring the welfare of those who pass out from hete by conducting a pg cell for the same

Admission

The admission is based on the entrance exam rank you get folowing which you will be allotted to the colleges you have applied for based on the availability of seats and once you are alotted a college you pay the fees online after which you present your documents at the college for verification and counselling.

Faculty

4

The faculty are placed by the PSC and are therefore the top notch faculty available throughout the state and their numbers across the various departments of medical interest is adequate. They are usually over the age of 40 with a post graduate degree at the very least.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Doctors are always a need for the society. The curriculum deals mainly in healing people which attracted me towards it. The curriculum has specific competencies a student should achieve in order to be competent as an Indian Medical Graduate. These competencies are set of skills every student should acquire. Teaching should be more practical oriented and theory should be reduced. More competencies should be included. Frequency of exams doesnt affect much. but portions to be studied for each exams are bit heavy. Difficulty level is moderate to hard

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course facilitates learning in each and every department of the medical college which gives us accessibility on how each wing works..giving us an idea to help decide where we see our future. Since we start clinical practice from our 2nd year and interactions with the patients continously it prepares us for almost every situation, since it is a government college we see all kinds of people from all backgrounds, giving us a different type of exposure. Some departments have fewer faculty making it difficult for them to care for the students and patients at the same time so the students maybe left unattended. Exams occur almost on a monthly basis, some harder than the others, but all are quite easy to pass with adequate studying.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of our study is prepared by National medical council and all the government medical colleges and private medical colleges in India are compelled to follow their rules. I like medical profession because I really likes the biology I opted it. The teaching method in government medical colleges are little bit different from that of our schools since we have clinical classes to handle also other professors are very good at teaching us by the aids of projection. MBBS courses very difficult to study also very interesting to study we have early basis exams in which each exam is conducted it the end of the year since the course is five and half years, in which four and half years of teaching and one year of internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose MBSS out of my own personal interest. However bewarned, it is not for everyone. Its a very hectic life. There are much less faculty available for each student but that is the case in every medical college. All faculty are mbbs, PG and PSC passed. They are very dedicated, if free from other works. Exams are very plenty, almost too much for most students. Passing an exam itself is a hurdle for most people and all subjects are indeed hard to cover

Three exams per year and you have to pass any one exam to write in university exam and it's somewhat difficult to pass if you start studying at last
