Remarks

For negative remarks the only thing is that the campus is not very big so if your here for a nice campus don't come. But if your here for placements and internships then you might just be here.the CSE department is great. So if you get CSE you might as well be here.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

To start with the exam structure, we have 3 exams per semester. Two computer based tests(CBT) which form a total of 40 marks, the End semester exam of another 40 marks and projects of 20 marks. This structure may vary from course to course. The curriculum for CSE is very well planned with consultation from industries, so that the courses that are demanded during placements are taught.

Placement Experience

4

The placements for CSE are really good with an average placement of 9.5 lakhs this year. Though I wouldn't be very sure about the other branches but if your here for CSE you wouldn't have much to worry about. Internships are usually provided at the end of the 3rd year itself and some bag an internship after 2nd year as well. So you won't have to worry about opportunities as here their are many.

College Events

3

We have a lot of events that are organised every year. Naming all of them is really tough, I'd try and name a few. First we have The amateur Scientist- it's for school students and as the college student you only get a chance to organise it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is a bit over the line of feasible. The fees every year is 300000. I guess it increases every year. Not sure about what is gonna be next year. But then you fee remains constant as to what you have paid when you entered the college. There are hostel facilities as well. You will have to pay for them separately though.

Fees and Financial Aid

For scholarships, if you are in the top 25% of you branch in your year then you get a fee waiver of 20% of whatever your fee is. If your through cet or PESSAT or management quota. It's 20% of your respective fee. It is good enough but the competition here is too much. So you really have to work hard to get it.

Campus Life

2.5

We have a gym, lots of labs, but not much for sports to be true. We have a great ground but it's restricted to tournaments or the cricket team only. There are a few table tennis courts. A few open spaces to play on, but that's it.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel infrastructure is pretty good. We have 4 different types of rooms here: 2 sharing 3 sharing Single rooms All without attached washrooms. And a 3 sharing block with attached washrooms. There are 3 different mess out of which 1 mess is pretty good. You have to choose your mess every month though.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a great program which PES launched last year which was the pesuio. This team organises different courses of different topics for free and you can learn from your own seniors who teach the course to you. Its a great move as courses which cost a lot outside are now free for you to fetch.

Admission

To get it the university, there is an entrance exam known as PESSAT. people usually do confuse it with the fact that it still comes under comedk but it doesn't. The exam is held in different states of India just like comedk and a rank below 900 would fetch you CSE here.

Faculty

4

The faculty for CSE is really good. Though you sometimes won't get all the best professors for your course but then each teacher is well trained and qualified enough to teach. Classes here are taken really seriously considering we have an 85? attendance to maintain each semester. So you hardly have options of bunking.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
