Remarks

Overall, on the academic front it is a good college as the classes held regularly and faculty comes regular to the class, there's a strict management over the academic syllabus but whent it comes to the campus life and industry exposure, the college lacks its potential in providing these.

Entrance Preview

Guru Gubind Singh Indrapsthda University conducts its own CET for the admission to 7000 Btech seats in 15 colleges. CET results just reveals the rank and not the score of the student. Talking about the question paper pattern,it comprises of total 150 MCQ questions, 50 questions of each subject i.e., physics, chemistry and maths. The level of questions is not too high, that mean an average student having an overview of all the chapter can clear this exam but at the end of the day rank matters the most.Coming particularly to BPIT, it is in the top 5 colleges of IP University. It offers B.Tech in 4 major branches i.e. CSE, IT, ECE& EEE. The reason of choosing this particular college is its faculty and the academic curriculum. The academic time table is 5 days a week and timings are 9:15 A.M to 5:00 P.M.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum of this college or we can say of the university is fine as the college curriculum is same as the university's. As far as the electives are concerned it offers various electives subjects, From which we need to select any two in the 8th semester. Electives usually varies with the branch. The options of electives in electronics and communication are advanced Computer Architecture IC Design Power Electronics Soft Computing Multimedia Communications Financial Management Principles of Human Resource Management Digital Image Processing and Applications Fuzzy Logic and Systems Linear and Nonlinear Optimization Techniques Advances in Wireless Communications Object Oriented Programming Using Java.

Internships Opportunities

Industrial internship is the part of the curriculum of the university. Each student has two complete at least two internship in a 4 year time. There's a complete assistance of college in providing internship after 2nd year. Generally the internship period is of two months and the stipend is around 2-3k students themselves can opt for the internship and earn according to their potential.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement and job opportunities for the CSE/IT branch are very well due to very high demand of computer grads in the market, overall the placements stats of this college is not very fascinating currently but the placements stats are increasing at a good rate year by year Acc to this year placements, major recruiter were cognizant, TCS, Infosys, HCL. Cognizant has taken around 60 students from the campus. TCS and infosys has also taken around 40-50 students the avg package was 3.5 lac per annum whereas the highest package offered in on-campus placement is of 12.6 lac by Indian navy whereas if we talk of off campus placement then there is a student bagging a package of 18lac per annum by Google.

College Events

2.5

The college organized its tecno-cultural fest named CORONA annually somewhere in the month of march every year where it conducts many competitions such as robowars(a event of bot fighting), battle of bands ( Musical event), campus princess and many more. This is a 2 day long fest which attracted around 8000 people from across the nation. Then there is one major fest conducted by the indraprastha university named "Anoogunj", this fest is far more greater than the college fest as it covers the multi disciplanary studunts across the university. It is a 3 day long fest which has many cultural and literary events such as debate, dance competition, creative writing.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of the college is as per the university norms only so it is not very high being a government University. So it is very much feasible. Fees for the B.tech programme is 1,04,000/- for the first year in which there is a security deposit of Rs.5000 which will be refunded after the end of the last semester. Fees for the subsequent years is 98000/- per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

College or university does not offer any scholarship or does not have any loan facility but student can apply for the loan from in any private or government banks.

Campus Life

3

Campus life is not satisfactory as there are very few societies in the college as off now. The college is not very old and had been established in the year 2005 only which is the reason of very few societies and also because of the academic curriculum. There is back to back classes from 9:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M and it involves a lunch break of 45 min. So student can not involve himself in the activities, the only option is to bunk the lectures to carry on over any extracurricular activities. And since the college does not provide hostel facilities for the boys so that also affects the college life as it does not provide exposure to the students. The most active society of the college is th cultural society which involves dance society music society fashion society and dramatic society. There is also a literally society as well and many of the prizes came from these two societies only. There is no active tech related society in the college. So overall in terms of extracurricular activities this college will score negative points. As far as gender ratio is concerned, it is around 70:30 I.e 70% are boys and 30% girls, this ratio is quite good as compare to any other engineering institute across the nation. Sports facility of the college is just satisfactory, there is provision of basketball, football, volleyball, cricket, table tennis, badminton in the college premises.Students of this college are never engaged in any kind of political and economical issues and also there is never a biasing in regard with gender, ethnicity, race, religion.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There is only girls hostel in the campus which has adequate facilities. The rooms are on the shared basis. There is two student in each room and the annual fees for the hostel faculty is 80000/- including mess. Mess food is totally alright, they take of the hygiene and taste of the food is also fine. Boys had to find their accommodation themselves if they need, there is plenty of options for the PG's near the college area. Many PG's offer food and there are some which do not, in that case student can opt for the college mess which is 2800/- per month. Monthly rent of the PG's vary widely according to the facilities offered, an AC equipped room with all the facilities such as attach bathroom and food facility cost somewhere around 10-11k per month in case of shared rooms. Whereas single rooms cost around 15k per month. A non AC room with adequate facilities will cost around 4-5k on the shared basis, these PG's lack food faculty so the students can opt for the college mess. So it will cost them nearly 8000 per month. So the monthly expenditure is nearly 8-11k depending upon the facilities waned by the student.

Alumni/Alumna

Since the college has established in year 2005 only therefore it doesn't has huge and quality alumni network. Many of the alumni went to abroad for higher studies. Seniors of the college have very good nature, they are very helpful and provide guidance how and what to study for the exams, they also guide us about the placement scenerio and what all is important to get placed, which courses to be done and all.

Exam Structure

The exam structure of the college are very relaxing from this session, as there is only 1 internal examination in each semester (whereas earlier there were two terms) conducted by the college itself which carry 25% of the total weightage then there is semester examination at the end of every semester which carries 75% weightage. Semester exams are conducted by university itself. Labs are very frequent which makes the day a bit hectic although due to only 1 term in each semester it gives so much time to the students to involve themselves in the extracurricular activities. As far as practical exams are concerned, there are 2 practical exams xams in each semester one internal and one external. In external practicals invigilator came from the the university and awards marks according to the viva and practical performed at that time. External practicals carry 60% and internal practicals carry 40%.

Faculty

4

The faculty of BPIT is good. Each professor is a post graduate or a P.H.D from any reputative Institute. The teaching methodology followed by the faculty is also very good. And there is also a strict check whether the syllabus is getting complete with in the scheduled time or not. Doubts occured in any topic by the students are also taken cared of, they can ask to any teacher of that subject available at that time.

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university doesn't beat around the bush while deciding the courses. They have picked only the subjects and the curriculum that are suitable for our field and focus on making us future-ready. Some subjects might seem a little fast-paced, but if you are consistent enough, you won't face any problems. It is safe to say that the exams and things taught in most the subjects are same to that of its so there is no lacking behind in that aspect.
