Good college

Its a good collegein terms of academics but needs to improve the hostel conditions and extracurricular activites.

The curriculum is too lengthy and ancient it needs amendments the syllabus needs to be revised there are many topics that should be removed and many that should be added. Exams are held regularly every 3, 4 months. As its a proffesional course for me practicals are more important than the theory but the importance of theory cant be neglected, there must be more practical classes than theory in my view.

Its a medical college so theres nothing like placements you can apply where ever you want to or pursue higher education its upto you.

Many events are celebrated over here like there is annual fest called CORONA which includes all the extracurricular activities like sports, arts, music, dance, academics eveything. Its usually organised in between october to december. Each and every batch takes the responsibility of individual events and the whole college and staff is invited.

The fee structure is quite affordable and the state government even provides scholarship for the OBC, SC, ST category students. Earlier the fee was paid offline but now you will have to pay it online and the hostel fee is paid in the office. As this is a government college theres no such additional charges.

I'm a general category student so no scholarship for me. If youre a category student then you might get a scholarship from the state government which provides yearly scholarships upto 60,000.

The gender ratio is nearly equal. The campus life is good although the campus is not huge. There is a volleyball court and an indoor stadium where you can enjoy playing badminton, carrom, table tennis and other card games. the labs are old but in a working condition. there are a few socities like dance, fashion to get into then youll have to clear the auditions.

Hostel is not that good its too old and youll have to share a room with 2 others so basically 3 people in a room and the living conditions are not too great, the toilets are filthy and most of them cant even be used. There are abundant number of rooms but the building is too old and is not renovated till date. If you cant tolerate all this youll have to go for a pg that will cost you round 4-7k as per your budget near the college.

The relationship between seniors and juniors are quite healthy. Seniors are helpful. Alumni meets are held after 25 years or so.

I always wanted to be a doctor. I got admission by clearing NEET exam and based on the merit list students are alloted respective colleges according to their ranks in the state. Colleges are ranked and seats are resslerved for various categories you can get admission by all india quota or state quota.

The number of lectures vary according to your academic year they arent fixed. The quantity and quality of the faculty here is remarkable there are many experienced proffessors in each and every department having great knowledge. Practicals are held regularly for the benfits of the students and even extra classes are taken when required.
