The Life of Doc In JNMC Raipur

I would rate the curriculum a 10/10 as I have already explained in the previous question about the college. There are a total of 4 exams in whole one year with practicals also which are of real patient interaction based.

Internship is to be done compulsory at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital, Raipur. It is done according to NMC guidelines which is for 1year in different departments for respective time period. Internship is paid us with Rs.15900/month which is paid once in 3 months combined.

The yearly tuition fees which is affordable is Rs.40000/yr and Rs.3500/yr for hostel if opted. There is also Non-government Fees of Rs.5000/yr and Library fees of Rs.1000 and Rs.40 for Red Cross Society. Also at the time of admission we have to pay a refundable security deposit of Rs.10000 as Demand Draft in the name of Dean.

The campus life is good, seniors are interactive with juniors. Our college organises competition of sports every year also we have an annual fest every year which consists of variety of activities like drama, painting singing standup,sports etc. We have a huge Library fully functional in the campus which are in two parts one of which is functional 24*7 and another one opens at 9:30AM and closes 12:00AM

There are total of 4 hostels One each for Boys and Girls of UG and PG. Also since the buildings are very old now a new hostel for UG Boys and Girls is being constructed 400m away from campus it will a multistorey building. The yearly fees for hostel accommodation is Rs.3500. We get a double sharing room initially with a bed table chair and cupboard individually. For Mess we have total of 4 Mess operational in each hostel also PG Boys Hostel allows UG Boys and Girls to enroll in their mess too.

The College is the heart of medical science of the state. It is a tertiary care center with all well functioning departments again with super speciality branches. The College is located in the centre of the Raipur City which is also the Capital of the state so students can get access of Malls and stuff. The cut-off rank in this college is very high in general category so I had to chose it instead of other options available in the state.

Professors are well experienced in this field. They help us to explain each and everything perfectly also on patient bedside. There are also good and cooperative Post Graduate which also help and teach us in DDR when professors are busy in operation theatre etc. Professors also use digital medium such as projector and digital board for teaching they show videos and photos of surgery also
