Remarks

BMSCE is a very exciting atmosphere to do your BE. You will have an amazing 4 years here, be it with respect to academics, extra curriculars, friends, hostel life, peers, everything. It offers all the facilities to cater to your interests. You will have a great time.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The current course curriculum is very adept. The college has included all the important topics that are necessary for being in the biotechnology field. The have also made sure that they are up to date with the current technology and advances. There are 2 internals (40 marks each), 1 or 2 quizzes/Alternate assessment tools depending on the course (10 marks totally), lab exams(25 marks) and one Session Ending Exam(100 marks).

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement and job opportunities are pretty good. Yes, the college does provide internships opportunities as well. Some of the internships are paid internships, but there are unpaid internships as well.

College Events

5

BMSCE is a hub of all extra curricular and co curricular activities. It hosts it's annual cultural fest, UTSAV, which is considered one of the best fests in Bangalore. It also conducts a technical fest, PHASE SHIFT, in which it collaborates with a number of industries, organisations and companies. There is also an annual sports fest called KREEDOTSAV, which witnesses competition from almost all colleges of Bangalore as well as the rest of Karnataka.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure, if you are admitted through entrance tests, is pretty feasible and affordable. However, the fees if you are admitted through the management tends to be a little higher than the regular fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers many scholarships to meritorious students every year. They include cash awards, internships etc. The top ranking student of each year from each department is awarded a cash prize. I'm not aware of any loan facility offered by the college.

Campus Life

5

Extra curricular activities are plenty in BMSCE. There are numerous clubs for a student to be in, be it music, theatre, dance, photography, social service, NCC, arts and many many more. The labs are very well equipped, all in excellent condition. They also have all the latest and most modern equipments. Sports facilities are also pretty good. There have grounds, an indoor stadium, basketball court, badminton courts etc. They also have gyms for the students.

Alumni/Alumna

All the senior students are very friendly and helpful. They make it very easy for the freshers to get adjusted to their new environment. The college also hosts alumni meets and has a very active alumni network.

Admission

I got in through KCET. After the declaration of results and allotment of college by KEA, I was asked to report to the college on a certain day. In the college, certain basic admission procedures were completed along with the payment of first year fees.

Faculty

4.5

They are all very cooperative with the students. The teaching is good. The faculty are experts in their respective fields with a majority of them holding PHDs. They are very approachable. The teaching techniques used are modern and easy to understand.

Placement is good, every student who tries to get placement will surely be placed in campus placements, but off campus would be difficult as this cllg is a tier-3 cllg, so many companies reject in resume shortlisting. Maximum every CSE student will get placed but max of them would get placed at an offer of 3.5 or 4.5lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say academic wise. There is nothing much happening right now in first year, but then there are many events like hackathons happening where and we can participate and learn a lot even our first year and we have English film and Japanese film, which is basically a whole language club and there are a lot of activities happening such as debate and all, which is obviously helping us gain a lot of public speaking skills and confidence.
