As Stated earlier, the college environment is very very friendly with everyone ranging from students to profeesors always ready to help you. In addition our college got fundings to expand the infrastructure further. The only people is Bankura begin a town is a bit smaller city. But believe me you won't be bored anyway. There are a bunch of tourist places near and around the town.

The MBBS curriculum under West Bengal University of Health sciences is a very scientific one. It is a student orientated one course. As a MBBS students we are expected to learn everything about the human body including the normal and abnormal characters. This is achieved by studying 19 subjects over a course of 4 and a half years.

After passing the 3rd profeesional exam part 2, that is the final year, the students have to complete 1 year internship in the hospital itself. The intern in the span of one year is posted in all departments on a regular basis and he/she developes the much needed experience for the job. After completing the internship. you get a permanent registration number and you become a MBBS doctor. you can proudly say you are a doctor and use the prefix Dr. Before your name.

There are a bunch of events organised by the students and the students council of Bankura Sammilami Medical College. The events include fresher party, Synapse - the annual cultural fest of BSMC, Reunion every year. In addition to these there are few conferences held on a regular basis.

The fees for MBBS is nearly 9500 per semester. That means for every semester we need to deposit Rs. 9500. Personally I consider it not very expensive as it is a government funded college. That is, everything here is at a subsidized rate.

Scolership amount is given through epass scheme of government of karnataka & other schemes like NSP & sc st scholarships the amount of scholar ship is between 15000 to 100000 depending on the type of scholarship you apply

Our college has a large variety of extracurricular activities. We conduct a large variety of sports competitions including indoor and outdoor sports like badminton, cricket, football, carrom, table tennis and many more. In addition we also conduct a variety of other competitions like drawing, poster making, essay writing, treasure hunt e.t.c. There is no discrimination on any basis, everyone is very friendly. Students come from all over India to study here.

The hostel of the college is very good. Recently it got some renovation too. There is a ground where we play football and cricket. Along with that there is a badminton and vollyball court too. The rooms are decent and the food is also good. Regarding PGs, you can find a PG just near our college at a very affordable price (1000-3000 per month).

The college seniors are just like our own brothers. They are very helpful and are always there in your need. We get a chance to meet with all the pass outs and eminent doctors on the day of reunion. You can ask for any help ranging from personal to educational.

Right from the childhood, I had a great interest in the white coat profeesion. My father was once posted in Pune and we lived not very far away from AFMC. Since then, I was very curious about this profeesion. This formed the base of my interest in becoming a doctor. Thought I was a average student in my school I never gave up from my dream. I got CGPA 10 in my class 10 boards and chose science stream in class 11. I loved physics. The only thing which motivated me to study was this profeesion. I passed class 12 with 95% score. Right from passing I quadrupled my studying time for the sake of NEET preparation. I gave NEET UG exam in the year 2018 and secured an all India rank of 5188 with a state rank of 170. The day I got my rank tears rolled down my eyes. Now I will become a doctor. I will fulfill my dream of wearing a white coat and a stetho round my neck. The counseling process started nearly 1 to 2 months after the declaration of the results. I applied for All India Counselling round 1 and gave the first choice as BSMC. I live nearly 1.5 kms from BSMC so I chose it. After a span of few days the results of the counseling came and to my surprise I was selected for it. I was extremely happy. I took a print of the sheet and the very next day I went to the students section of Bankura Sammilami Medical College And Hospital, went through the admission process and got admitted.

Faculty in Bankura Sammilami Medical College And Hospital includes eminent profeesors who excelled in their respective fields. All the faculty members are highly qualified and everyone is always ready to help students in every aspect. They teach the respective areas in such a way that it becomes easier and interesting to learn.
