Remarks

Good college if the students are ready to study with out spoon feeding. They would be able to enjoy and graduate with very good achievements through out.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It is less research oriented. But considering all other colleges, GECT provides better opportunity than others for students apart from their curriculum. Many clubs like Idea for, ISTE, IIChE, etc are functioning well.

Placement Experience

4

Many companies including public sectors are coming for placement and giving high packages for students. Students of all branches are getting a variety of choices and many students are cracking more than one.

College Events

4.5

Every year Dyuthi, National level multifest and the college's main event will be held with technical, cultural, informal and other events. Many workshops will be conducted. Many other programs some department wise and for the whole college will be held.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Joining through KCET we have to pay 98800. Joint through COMEDK we must pay 2. 5 lakhs. Joining through management quota we must pay 4. 5 lakhs. Bus fees are moderate(20000). Good fee structure. Manageable by middle class families

Fees and Financial Aid

Government scholarships and loans can be availed easily through our college. Any amount below the fee structure can be availed. But it take a 3-4 months for availing the full amount. Good scholarships are given to backward classes.

Campus Life

4.5

Good participation in annual university athletic meets. Other games like chess, basketball, volleyball, kannadi, softball, cricket, football etc are also being encouraged for both girls and boys.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostels are very good with 3 sharing rooms. 2500 maximum a month will be needed for a student. Native district students find it hard to get college hostel. PG range from 4000 to 6000 with considerably good places.

Alumni/Alumna

All the alumni of the college are very helpful in all occasions and academically. They provide the students with financial support and other help for anything regarding the college.

Admission

Admission through CET entrance exam. And rank must be below certain rank. The entrance exam is of state level and will be very difficult. After clearing the entrance exam you will have an inter view by the college officials. After clearing the interview you are the new student of the college.

Faculty

4

The teachers are very well qualified and good. Are friendly and focused on every student. The lab teachers are very well qualified and good in their field. Single subject has around two to three teachers.

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
