There was personal interview for selection, a panel of 7 persons had conducted the interview with research proposal. Since this was a prestigious institute I was very desperate to get admitted here.

The course was at par the IIT standards, and evaluation mechanism was also very strict that lead you to throughly study each and every aspect of the course, along with the latest developments. During my masters there I had opted MTech Research, this was like pursuing PhD.

college does not provide internship, but if students want to take internship in some external company or organization NOC is provided by the college.

Placement cells here is very active every other day there will some company in the placement month. L&T, TCS, eInfochips, Accenture, Infosis and many are regular intackers for the Institute, a students group is taking care of all placements related activities with active monitoring of faculty in charge.

Lots of events, the list will be very long, cultural events, garba nights, convocation ceremony, alumni meets, sports weeks, technical fair, technical competitions, quizzes etc. are just the generalized names of them. Especially I remember the garba nights during navratri, the gujarati 9 days long dance festival.

Fees are moderate here for top of the class education, still it was half of the othere comparable Institutes. When other Institutes were asking 90k I was paying 30k here for the term fees, being a central government funded Institute the other amenities fees are also very reasonable.

All the government aids are available if you are eligible. Since I was not eligible I could not get any scholarship but my colleagues were enjoying that benefit.

As explained before the gender ratio is 70:30 on an average, studentsfron all around India come here for studies and faculties here are also from various parts of the country. Students chapters of virtually all the professional societies are active here. IEEE, IETE, IE I had interacted with. Guest house is also very nice where faculties from othere institutions come for stay during events. The institution is very well connected with the local social life and they play actively during festivals and cultural events like Garba etc.

Alumni association is very active, after completion of the course you are the member and are allowed to participate in all the matters of your interest. The association is taking interest in mentoring students.

There are internal and external exams, along with practical evaluation at every semester end. Besides this the Institute follows continues evaluation in all the courses you will be constantly hammered with lots of assignments that needs to be completed in
