Remarks

I don't have any negative views about my college. Because I got my first job from there only. Everything in my view are positive only. The provide many facilities which a student will not get in other colleges, like they pay the IEEE so that students can download research papers for free.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The Course curriculum is really really great as it matches the all india standard. So after completing B. Tech if a student want to go for master's degree through gate exam then the course became really helpful. Taking about the exam structure, there are total 8 semesters and in each semester we have 2 exams, one is mid semester exam and one is end semester exam. Mid semester exam is of 20 marks, and end semester is of 60 marks, rest 20 marks are based on the attendance, assignments and your behaviour in the class.

Placement Experience

5

Placements are really good in KIIT. From my experience only I can tell, if a student make himself or herself capable of being placed then there are lots of opportunities for him or her in KIIT. I'm currently a student of 8th semester and I'm placed in ROBERT BOSCH which is a core company for my branch EEE. In my batch only above 90% students are placed in different companies. There were more than 150 companies in our placement season. So if one is eligible then KIIT is a heaven for them.

College Events

5

There are countless events happens in KIIT. It's a University so there are so many schools under it, like B. Tech, MBA, LAW, Language school, school of applied sciences etc. Every school has their differnt annual events so something always goes on th KIIT. Except the annual events in KIIT, festivals like holi, durga puja, diwali and many more celebrated every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees of KIIT is quite expensive. In each semester we have to pay 1, 89, 000. This includes everything, like educational fees, mess fees, hostel, books, everything. So as I have said it's quite expensive, but if you see the bigger picture that is the job you will be getting after completing your course then I don't think the fees will stop you.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facility is there. But I didn't take it so I don't know about the loan facility in detail. There is also a very good scholarship facility. I am the branch topper of EEE. So I got a scholarship of 60000 rupees per semester. They provide 60000 per sem to the branch topper, 42000 to the student who holds the second place and 30000 to the student who comes third.

Campus Life

5

Gender ratio is good in KIIT. Different workshops are also there, some regarding the engineering stuff and some regarding the language stuff. There are a number of cultural societies, named pankh, goonj, kash, KIIT film society, etc. So if any body is interested in dancing, singing, drama they can join these societies. Regarding the laboratories, the are really well equipped and functional. Any student outside the class timings also can come and experiment on the instruments. In KIIT the Authority do not tolerate any kind of politics.

Hostel Facilities

4

Infrastructure of the hostel is really good. They have both ac and non ac hostels. I opted for non ac hostel. My room was a 3 sharing one. They will provide you everything, starting from bed, bed sheets, bucket, mugs, plates, spoon, everything. There is cleaning staff who will clean the room and washroom everyday, so no compromise about the hygiene.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are really good and helpful. In the placement season we got to know many things like what to study, how to make ourselves prepare, which companies to focus to. Rather than the placement time, they also guided us very well in the semesters like which books to follow and from seniors only we got to know about the online platforms.

Admission

Admission through entrance exam and i got a better rank in engineering entrance exam. I was admitted in this college with merit seat. This is a government self financing college. This college accepts both merit and non merit students.

Faculty

4.5

Faculties in KIIT are really good. All the faculties are from IIT or NIT. They have a strong knowledge regarding the subjects, so when they explain any topic, it becomes really easy to understand for the students. Moreover they are always ready to help the students with their problems in the subjects outside the class hrs also.

After your 7th semi you will be eligible for campus placements Several reputed companies such as infosys,Wipro etc have visited our campus around my graduation time. Placement Experience:

Placement record is not so good.. companies like Microsoft and Google have blacklisted KIIT due to poor performance and mismanagement by the KIIT in providing with the right candidates. KIIT shortlists students in basis of multiple tests taken on platforms like AMCAT and on that basics provides the profiles of best performing candidates to the companies invited for campus hirings regardless of the field and job specifications and requirements, so basically KIIT has a very below average performance Training and Placement Cell as they lack decision making and management skills to segregate candidates for hirings according to their skills and not by their general scores and CGPA. NOTE: Companies have shown least interest in KIIT for last 2 years and the poor performance of previous batches and mismanagement by KIIT authorities. KIIT promises 100% placements but that is actually far from reality.
