Remarks

Overall it's a good college. The greenest I've seen. Infrastructure is great. Market is nearby so you don't have to worry about that. Campus is big, spaceous and beautiful. Food can be better but still they try to manage their best.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

First year seems a bit clumsy as it has many unnecessary subjects such as Biology, Physics, Chemistry, etc. But with time it gets better and you only study strictly course related. After the 3rd semester you don't even need to study Maths and only your core projects

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements on paper seems very good but as I'm still studying I've no idea how'd the scenario be looking like in an year or two. College provides Internships but the stipend is not much. This year Adobe gave the highest package of 40LPA. Also Microsoft was in the list of the companies that visited in Day 0

College Events

5

There are a lot of events to keep you occupied throughout the year the biggest being the KIITFEST and other subsidary events falling within every one or two months gaps as it is a University so every school has its own fest and there are special events on festivals even for the international students

Fee Structure And Facilities

The tution fee is 1. 5 lakhs per semester which is quite expensive but compared to other top engineering colleges it seems just fine. Now you can never be sure if the job you get would be worth your investment or not

Fees and Financial Aid

Top 100 ranks in the KIITEE are given scholarships and the loan facility is available too. The achievers in the semester exams those who get a 10 GPA also get scholarships. I don't have not much idea about how this loan thing works but I know that many of my batchmates have taken loans to study here

Campus Life

4.5

The extracurricular are fabulous. I myself play football here and also am a Bhangra Choreographer in a society. Events pop up like every month for interested people and it's a life to live out here. Celebrities also keep visiting the college so it's a great bit of exposure.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes, hostel rooms are good as compared to what charged the problem is with the Mes food tho it is better than many other colleges but still it can never match good standards tho few meals in a week are just outstanding and worth waiting for through the week

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpfu and there's student friendly campus. Faculty members are available for you 24*7 for any kind of problem being faced by you. Seniors help you to the best of their knowledge. In my case it has been that way.

Admission

I appeared for the entrance examination called KIITEE 2018 for which on the basis of my rank I got IT branch in this college. The campus the course and everything seemed perfect that's when I decided to opt for this college

Faculty

3

Faculty is luck based. Few of the faculty members are so great that they'll make your college life wonderful and make your grasp perfect on the subject but few on the other hand are there to make your life totally miserable

After your 7th semi you will be eligible for campus placements Several reputed companies such as infosys,Wipro etc have visited our campus around my graduation time. The highest package offered was 6 LPA by infosys for the role of Data analyst while the average package stood at around 2.5 LPA to 3.2LPA . Approximately 60% or 6.5 CGPA secured students will be eligible for placements through campus drives. After obtaining my degree, I plan to Pursue higher studies like Mtech in a IIT'S or Niit hence i prepared for Gate 2 yrs .But meanwhile i was preparing for to get a job to take the responsibility of family so i started my carrer a a software developer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is relevant enough to teach you all the basics you would require in engineering though some of the courses can be changed and in place of those new courses can be addded for example for non physics student teaching them quantum mechanincs and that too the old quantum mechanics doesent seem to make sense . The exams are not so frequent and the papers can be rated as moderate

From 3rd year itself they make you industry ready through their specific programs llike internships, seminars, etc. Companies like L&T and Accenture are the leading recruiters here. Also there are companies like Amazon or GOOGLE as well. The approx percentage including off and on campus is more than 90%. My plans are basically to explore my entrepreneurship skills.

Placement Experience:

Placement record is not so good.. companies like Microsoft and Google have blacklisted KIIT due to poor performance and mismanagement by the KIIT in providing with the right candidates. KIIT shortlists students in basis of multiple tests taken on platforms like AMCAT and on that basics provides the profiles of best performing candidates to the companies invited for campus hirings regardless of the field and job specifications and requirements, so basically KIIT has a very below average performance Training and Placement Cell as they lack decision making and management skills to segregate candidates for hirings according to their skills and not by their general scores and CGPA. NOTE: Companies have shown least interest in KIIT for last 2 years and the poor performance of previous batches and mismanagement by KIIT authorities. KIIT promises 100% placements but that is actually far from reality.
