My Review

I opted this college based on the various facilities and opportunities the college provides. The international semester exchange programs, the curriculum and academics, achievements and ranking and most importantly the assurance of placements got me attracted to this college. Good infrastructure and big campus with celebs concerts can be seen in many of the colleges, but what one needs most importantly along with these is the exposure to the course and the outer world to know yourself better; which one can get beautifully in CHANDIGARH UNIVERSITY.

B.E. Biotechnology is an emerging field which includes both biology and engineering and accordingly, we are taught about the applications of technology in biology. The research-oriented and practical based learning provided in this university helps students to know their course in-depth and expertise in their field. The faculties are all well experienced and educated from top universities like IIT, NIT. Many hold a doctorate degree and have also filed many patents, which describes their knowledge of the subject and course.

CU has exceptional placements records in top multinational companies. Companies like Amazon, Biocon, Dr Lal Pathlabs, BYJU's, Panacea Biotech, Apollo Pharmacy, Mankind, Deloitte, and many more visits campus placements for our course. Students are well trained for the placement drives starting from their third semester. CU also offers international internship opportunities to the students. Furthermore, it encourages entrepreneurship and supports students who want to have their own startup.

The campus is very big and beautiful, including advanced classrooms, Libraries, Medical facilities, ATM's banks, Open Theatre, Food courts and Cafeteria like Subway, Domino's, etc. CU organises many fests like Youth Fest, Tech Fest, Fresher's party, departmental and inter hostels competitions, musical nights featuring many famous Bollywood and Punjab celebs. The campus life is best and fun with your friends.

The university provides on-campus hostels, which are well maintained and include all required facilities like mess, canteens, 24 hrs free WIFI, study rooms, sport's court, TV room, gym and salon. The food served is healthy and hygienic, and the menu changes often which is quite good cuz you don't want to get fed up with the same menu. The hostels are safe and have good security. It is way to avail fo the hostels, you can apply in both offline and online mode, but I would suggest one apply for hostels earlier because later on the on-campus hostel rooms gets occupied.

The admission criteria are based on CUCET, an entrance exam for scholarship. But if one fails to apply for the exam, then merit-based eligibility criteria are considered.
