Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is well structured and well balanced. I had a major in Accounts. In my course, there were both theoretical and practical subjects which had made the learning quite interesting. We were also taught tally, Ms Excel, how to fill tax returns which is very practical thing. There were 6 semester exams being taken in the three years tenure. And internals were also taken by the professors.

Placement Experience

4

The placement and job opportunities of my college is improving every year. In my batch almost every one got placed in reputable companies. The companies which came for campus placements were Delloite, KPMG, E&Y, Wipro, Pwc and many more. Since we are commerce students, the roles that they provide was mainly of audit assistant, junior manager and so on. Yes, my College provides internships too. Each year, we have our internship fair in which around 50-60 companies( or NGOs) come to provide internships to the students.

College Events

5

My college organizes many events. Few of them are the annual college Fest, individual Fest of every departments, MUNs, international conferences. There are 9 societies in my college. Each of them organizes their own events. These are art exhibition, a poetry Fest, photography competition, etc. The students get variety of chance to take part in them. These events are organised and managed by the students only. They are mainly on a very large scale.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of college is quite feasible. Since it's a government college, it's less expensive and facilities are up to the mark. Every year, we have to pay around rs. 18000 as the annual fees. They also charge examination fees at the time of filling the examination form every semester. The amount varies from course to course depending on the subjects that we had taken.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes, I had opted for the hostel. The hostel infrastructure is very good. It's one of the best hostels of Delhi University. There is the facility of laundry, mess service is too good. There is also an aAc fitted in every rooms. The rooms are two and three seated. There is greenery all around and also 2-3 lawns surrounding the hostel. The security of the hostel is excellent.

Admission

I had taken commerce in 12th and Accountancy was my favourite subject. In order to study this subject in detail, I decided to go for B.Com Hons. The admission process was very smooth. I got admission in the second cut off list released by DRC.

Faculty

5

The faculty of my college was very learned and knowledgeable. They were disciplined and made the entire process of learning easier for us. In my course, there were mostly female professors with experience of teaching. Every one of them had their own teaching styles and they made sure to check on our doubts if we had any. They were always ready to provide help to their students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Subjects like Law, Management, HRM and Economics really influence my choice for this course. The law and economics part was really something that garb my attention as well as excite me the most. It really helped in understanding HR policies in depth which helped me really world a lot. The curriculum should include more practical and technical subjects which will help in the corporate world too. The exam timings were usually 2 to 3 hours max. And the exam also doesn't come too hard to pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of Janki Devi Memorial College is quiet relevant and covers the important areas of the subject in a structured way one of the reasons I preferred this course was it is designed according to Delhi University standards and the syllabus is recognise and useful for higher studies the combination of theory papers skill enhancement courses and internal assessment help in building clear understanding of the subject. The curriculum helps in writing resources and critical thinking skills which are useful not only in exams but also for future academic and professional work at the same time, I feel that adding move practical sessions, workshop, or more project based learning with me the course more engaging and closed to Real world applications. Exams are held in the form of internal assessment during semester and final University exam at the end.Exams schedule is manageable and the difficult level is moderate.
