Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is spread across a duration of 3 years. Exams take place at the end of each year. Emphasis is given on research work and students are taught both theoretical as well as practical uses of accounts in their life.

Placement Experience

The college doesn't have a placement cell and therefore doesn't gives placement to its students. The teachers however do guide the students on what paths they can take after completion of their education.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee charged by the college is pretty feasible. It charges Rs. 1984 in the first year and Rs. 1624 for the next two years of study. The total tuition fee charged by the college is Rs. 5232 which is affordable.

Campus Life

The college conducts various extracurricular activities such as games and sports events, picnic, cultural place visit, college magazine, etc., so as to bring out the creative part of students and help them develop properly.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network of this college is pretty active. The senior students are very helpful and like being in touch with their juniors and the college. Alumni meet is conducted sometimes so that students can keep in touch with the college.

Admission process for this course takes online. However, students should first be eligible to apply for this course i.e., they should've cleared their 10+2 with minimum required percentage in any stream.

Faculty

The faculty of the college is extremely helpful and friendly. They are all well qualified and give importance to research aspect of their respective subjects. Students can clarify their doubts from them when they want.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Placement Experience:

At our college placements are good and many core companies or finance and IT are here for placements and intenrships as well. Average placements from what I have checked is around 4-5 lakhs per year for B.Com (Hons) students.

SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.
