KAU MBA is not another management degree for a career but an exciting life journey. The main objectives of the college is to to implant core management competencies among the prospects to own and manage sustainable agri-food value chains.And also to nurture a culture and climate of entrepreneurship .The campus exposes the students to best-in-class management practices in the industry.The faculties try their best to ingrain high ethical and moral standards in the future managers and innovation among the prospective managers.

The course is a full time programme with a duration of two years which is splitted in two semesters.The first semester is concentrated on foundation courses.there will be break of 15 days after the first semester. The second semester is divided into two,that is classroom segment and field segment . The class room segment covers eight General Management courses, which are compulsory.The Field Segment is for having hands-on-experience for the students in agribusiness management practices during the semester break. In this segment the students will be placed for project work for a minimum period of one month in an institution belonging to the industries identified under the head of different departments and they have to submit a project report after thorough study under the guidance of a faculty. The board consisting of the Director, will evaluate the project reports.

A full fledged Placement Cell is in place to scan the emerging employment opportunities and to secure campus placement to the students. The Placement Cell is regularly organizing industry/farm exposure visits and capacity building programmes to hone the soft skills and enhance the employability of the students.The MBA holders have very good employment opportunities in organizations engaged in the following domains: Food Processing,Oil Extraction and Seed Production, Hi-tech Horticulture and Floriculture, Dairying & Animal Husbandry, Poultry and Sea Food Production, Meat and Meat Products, AgroChemicals, Agro-Machinery, Fertilizers and Pesticides. Sugar and Bio-fuels, Organic Farms, Biotechnology, Commodity Boards, Commodity Exchanges, Plantation Industry etc.Major recruiting companies are IDBI Bank Ltd.,Royal Bank of Scotland, AXIS Bank Ltd., Sundaram Finance Ltd., Harrisons Malayalam (HML) Ltd., RVJ Eurasia ,ESAF Micro Finance & Investments Ltd., Spices Board, Plant Lipids, NABFINS and so on.

The semester fee of the cource will be Rs 25,000,which is subjected to revision. Admission fee will be Rs 5,000. The external exam.fee per semester will be Rs.1500 during the first three semesters and Rs.2000 during the last semester .The International students should pay Institutional Economic Fee of US$ 4000 or equivalent indian Rupee over and above the above fees.A one time contribution of Rs.5000 has to be paid in lump sum to the PTA at the time of admission and one time contribution of Rs.10,000 is to be paid in lump sum to the placement cell at the time of admission.

Industrial and farm visits are undertaken to expose the students to real life situations to unlearn and relearn management lessons. KAU hand holds the students to take up entrepreneurship as a career calling. The presence of foreign national and students from others states breeds healthy cultural fusion and ignites intellectual diversity.Various workshops are conducted in order to build and sustain a unique management institute of international standards capable of churning out a new breed of agripreneurs and agribusiness managers kindled with fire and endowed with state-of-the-art management knowledge and competencies to serve the nation devoutly in a climate that fosters personal and group creativity and excellence.

For the course MBA the specialization available is Agricultural business management. Minimum requirements for admission is that the graduates, including professional graduates from Indian/Foreign Universities recognized by AICTE/UGC with minimum 60% marks from SSLC onwards under traditional system(5%relaxation is given to sc/st students) or the applicant should be a professional Graduate from State Agricultural Universities recognised by ICAR with minimum 7.00/10 OGPA. And the final selection is based on the marks secured in the exams like KMAT, CAT, CMAT or MAT. The university invites application for MBA in Agriculture Business Management only after the declaration of results of the above mentioned tests. Teaching and Research oriented works related to agriculture and Interaction between students and other experienced scholars is very good .The college has a nice environment experienced team of professionals from a range of academic disciplines in engineering, combined with practical farming and industry backgrounds. Agricultural machinery research and design staff are well suited to carry out targeted research projects and consultancy services based on an understanding of the machinery needs of farmers and engineering requirements of the agricultural industry. For growth and pursuing our dreams college offers very good lab facilities.The faculties most of the time handle the basics of microbiology. A mix of PG teachers from the faculties of KAU and a panel of guest faculty drawn from various institutes/industries of repute will be engaged.Any student can become a part of new projects.The faculties are friendly and they provide safe environment to work and researches.
