Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus is good. It is a bit hectic but it is in line with current ongoings in the market and will help you in the field. A lot of practical knowledge is inculcated throughout the course and it also includes general agriculture and such.
Placement Experience
KAU has a proper placement cell which will definitely boost your chances of being employed in a reputed organization. The Placement cell is very active and is always organizing different industrial visits to different farms, industries, and employment is done in different fields such as Animal Husbandry, Agrochemicals, etc. However, it could be improved.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is affordable with some discounts for students with reservations. The total fees come out to be 36,650 and are greatly affordable considering the value of the course and the opportunity for employment. It is inclusive of the tuition fee.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
Scholarships are offered to those belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) and those who come under the ICAR. The competition for the scholarships is very high and the process is not very complicated.
Campus Life
There are plenty of extracurricular activities, such as fests and cultural events sports events, etc. Usually organised by the students and they all are very open to others participating in it. there are plenty of Industrial visits to different agricultural organisations such as farms, Factories etc.
Admission
The admission process is usually issued by February and the process includes the KMAT exam, online application of your documents, and they will select you on the basis of your merit. This is followed by a group discussion and a personal interview. Admission is done on the basis of your performance.
Faculty
The faculty is good. They are always open to more questions and love the subject at large. The student-teacher ratio is also very good, so one teacher is never overwhelmed with too many students. The campus also has some very great professors with a lot of experience.
