My Review

College management can be very hard sometimes. It takes lot of will power to make changes that are not approved by the admin. You need the support from faculties if the admin are against you.

Their are generally 6 courses in each semester. If you are CS student, you would have 7 courses from 3rd semester onwards. Apart from this, we have 1 month rural internship, 2 months summer research internship and 4 months industrial internship (or Btech Project if you want to be on campus). The curriculum is really nice. Apart from the usual courses, we have humanities courses, environmental sciences courses etc. The curriculum keeps changing to be in the peace with upcoming world. The faculties are well educated to teach the courses and are often helpful outside of lectures. The labs complements the lectures and are helpful in understanding the concepts. The college can be divided in two parts, the btech students are placement driven whereas the Mtech and PHD students are research driven.

There are more than 100 companies visiting during placements including Microsoft, Amazon, flipkart, sprinklr, oyo, Goldman sachs, Morgan Stanley, tekion etc. More information can be found on placements. daiict. ac. In. The college helps us prepare 4 months in advance for they placements. They keep tests and give solutions, they share resources to study from and invited and coordinates companies during the ongoing placements drive. It is dependent on company if they want to take up interns or not and if they are interested, the placement cell allows students to sit for internships. Generally each year, all the students interested in placements are placed with the exception of 1 or 2 out of 250 people.

The tution fees change each year. For me it is 67, 000 ? per semester. Other than this there is a one time caution deposit refunded at end of course. Then hostel fees(20000 ? per sem), electricity charges(1800? per year), registration fees (1500? per semester) to be paid in each semester. The fees can be paid by multiple ways, from upi, debit/credit cards, NetBanking, cheque, demand drafts. The fees are to be paid at start of each semester.

Not applicable for me. The college offers scholarships to top 5 students in the merit list. There is also local scholarship called MYSY that is granted based on your financial status.

Campus Life is really good. The days starts at 8 in the morning and generally ends at 5 in the evening. After that you can play sports or attend any club activities going around which are notified by mail system. There are many clubs, technical and non technical such as gdg, film club, drama, press, dance, music etc. The gender ratio is skewed and can be estimated as 1/8. The labs are really informative although teaching assistant are not so much well versed, you can easily learn from internet books and friends. The labs staff is also very friendly and cooperative. Most of the students are from Gujarat itself. Only those from jee mains are outside of Gujarat students. There are generally freshers party thourown by second yearites for first yearites and farewell thourown by third yearites to fourth.

The hostels are compulsory for new btech students. The rooms are two- sharing rooms which means there are two people living in single room. The room has 1 fan, 2 tube lights, 2 beds, 2 cupboards, 2 chairs, 2 tables with drawer and shelves. The washourooms are common washourooms on each floor. There are also drinking water taps in the hostel. The hostel also has very high speed wifi which needs a college login to be used. There are 8 wings in old boys hostel with 3 floors and approx 20 rooms per floor and 2 new wings with 4 floors. There are 2 wings in girls hostel.

I got the admission thourough merit list created based on JEE-Mains score. The application process starts during the first week of June where you can go to the college's website and fill in the form with appropriate details. If you have given GUJCET, you can also apply from ACPC, which is mainly for students from Gujarat. The main reason I chose this course was because this is the first college which offered this course. The course combines two most important sectors in today's world, information technology and communication systems. Hence it's a unique course and the college has the faculties which can teach courses well and helps in overall development of student.

Faculties are well learnt. Some of them have problems explaining their knowledge to students but if you meet them after lectures, they would gladly clear your doubts or explain the concepts again. Their are normally 35-40 1 hours lecture for a single course in each semester, following a pattern of 3 lectures in a single week. All of the faculties are PHD from IITs or foreign reputed institutions, have command on their subject and work with current industry, providing research materials or taking projects from them.
