Kalinidi College - Best DU Woman College Off-Campus

Overall, the college management was pretty good enough. However, they might need to pay some more attention on the college's infrastructure like better canteen and better washrooms.

Soon after my higher-secondary, basis on my grades, I got an entrance in BA Hons. English in Kalinidi College. There was no entrance test required for admission to this particular course.

The course curriculum was widespread, including all the important parameters covered in English Literature. From novels to novellas. prose to verse, fiction to non-fiction, poets to authors, the course covered the roots of English Literature in its entirety.

Big MNCs like Genpact, Accenture and GE came to the college for internship in the final year of the course. Stipend ranged from somehwre around 10k-15k per month.

Pretty good. Quite a number of students were placed in campus recruitment in companies like Genpact and GE. They offered a decent salary package.

Lot of intra and inter college competitions were held to encourage students. Cultural and management festivals also happened on a large-scale. They had many societies within classes like English Literary Society and more, that looked the over-all functioning of that unit.

Extremely feasible, given that the college comes under Delhi University (DU) Board. An annual fees would be around 3000-4000 back in years 2007. However, the fee structure might have got revised by now.

I have no idea in this regard. However, scholarship must be an important part of the college, as is in every Delhi University college.

Kalinidi college does not come in main DU campus. It's an off-campus college and thus loose the limelight of the campus life. However, there wasn't a thing that made the college less interesting. Regular workshops, cultural shows and competitions used to happen in the college, making the atmosphere alive.

Pretty average. They need to improve on food standards. The canteen food was average, with less items on menu and a bland taste. This is however a thing of year 2007. Hope this has improved by now.

Strong alumni network. Till date we receive regular updates about the college achievements and lists. Teachers also maintain a great rapport with the ex-students.

Exams were usually hectic with around 3 midterms before the final examinations. This however, gave us a flair to write our exam properly on the D-Day.

Preety damn good. Very learned staff, always ready to help students with extra classes/lectures whenever required. The staff comprises of all senior and young lecturers - all of them extremely well-versed with the subject knowledge.
