Remarks

I got a lot of support from my professors and supporting staff which helped me get a proper understanding of my subject & technical applications.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It was helpful, there was a lot of supporting staff and lectures. Yes for PG students made it mandatory to publish their research work in popular journals. So portions in the curriculum were made self-study. It will help a student to achieve knowledge in the field and do things in a research orientation manner.

Placement Experience

4.5

In our college, many-core companies and IT companies had come for placements. The main source was from our Alumni. Most companies had made a Mandatory requirement of 75% or above. Students had to go through many phases of selection to acquire a placement.

College Events

3.5

Technical and Cultural events like Dyuthi, which is mainly about gathering smart minds from several colleges to actively participate in small technical events organized by students. Few Motor Shows hosted by the Mechanical department were also great. Quintessence hosted by my Electronics department was a great success.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was feasible. Alumni have organized certain scholarship scheme for students who shows there best performance. And in our college, SC/ST students were able to complete their course with fee exemptions. And some students had to pay less as they belong to the OEC category.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't applied for a scholarship. But my friends availed many scholarships. They had to submit their family's annual income certificate to avail of the scholarship.

Campus Life

4

In our stream, the gender ratio was almost equal. So many technical and cultural events are hosted every year in our college. Many technical startups were developed and many socializing platforms were also there. About labs, the supporting staff even worked long hours while we were doing college projects.

Hostel Facilities

3

No, because I was a day scholar. I used to stay with my hosteler friend. The infrastructure was good and SC/ST students had fee exemptions. They were given free food. And also for normal students, used to pay small amounts.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, they are helpful. They had helped to bring a lot of placements to our College. The network structure is good. And moreover, our seniors support us in many ways, starting from study materials to supporting us in technical events.

Admission

Based on KEAM Entrance Exam and my 12th marks I got admission to my college. The entrance exam had two phases one for Mathematics and another one for Science (Physics and Chemistry). I acquired 1217th rank in my State. So I got admission to a government college.

Faculty

4

All of them were helpful. Whenever a difficult situation arises they will be there to support. Even special evening classes were held for students who were poor in studies. All of them were approachable and helped us to get a better understanding of the subject and the application.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
