College review- [SPA], New Delhi

Visiting faculties are Soo good and they are good aged people till 60 years and have very good in-depth knowledge and experience in the practical field which is a plus point. Some departments are very good like transport having good staffs, but people are supposed to work beyond their limit. Some departments are too chill.

At SPAD, the Planning course will have four semesters, the first semester will be having an integrated semester comprising of five departments ( Housing, Environment, Transport, Urban planning, and Regional planning) after the second semester everybody will go into their concerned respective departments. In all the planning courses, the major concerns will be based on choosing a place within India as a case study and having a detailed study about that city in their own respective department.

The internship is a must in certain departments and is optional in some departments which will happen after 1 year for the period of two months. Placement from good companies is there but in limited amount.

Utopia is the major cultural event, also as the students are placed from all over India, all cultural festive will be happening regularly which will be conducted by students of the respective states. At least 1 festive is a must for each month. Cultural festive conducted by Keralite people will be a major. All cultural festivals will be conducted like Holi, Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali, Tamil new year, Dj night, fresher's party, etc.

Feasible for non gate scholars. Gate scholars will get 12000 stipends every month which will be useful for their daily routine, transport charges and study trip expenses, and hostel fees. For non-gate scholars, it looks a little expensive as study trip expenses will be on their own.

Gate scholars will get a stipend of 12000 every month and other people if they are getting from the bank, the college will give them a letter for the respective procedure.

Campus life is good as college is having students from all over India. In college there is a hostel for girls and for boys, there is a hostel that is a little far away from the campus. So many cultural activities, parties, competitions, special lectures, etc. Will be happening regularly.

I don't have any contact with alumni and don't have any idea about it. Thus I could not say anything about it.

First I filled the application form during February then got a shortlisted list during march then had an interview in April then I got a selected list and wait-list during the end of April. Interview questions will be so general such as where are you from, and why did you choose this course and what is your future aim and why did you choose that particular department.

7 Aprrox for 23 people per class. 3 permanent faculty, 1 Hod, 2 visiting faculty, and 1 Ph.D. scholar. Half of the faculties are having related to being in a major position in the practical field of the respective department in India. 1-2 faculties will be a passed out students from Spa itself having 3-10 years of experience
