Remarks

In every field, it stands high. Though there are some minor problems in college which can be neglected the overall performance is quite satisfactory. Our college also makes our professional development very well.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is updated from time to time as the need arises. Exam structure consists of 25 marks mid sem, 60 marks end semester, and 15 marks internal (depends upon attendance, quizzes, class performances and assignment).

Placement Experience

Yes, our college provides internships and also placements. Placement and internships depend upon various strategies including aptitude tests, coding rounds, technical rounds followed by group discussion and personal interviews. Different companies have different requirements.

College Events

Various events take place including technical and religious activities. For example, Aarohan by team aavishkar is an official technical fest. Nityamini being it's one of the best events taking place every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure depends on the courses you choose. This college provides various courses like b.tech, m. tech, Ph.D., and many more. Being a BTech student I'm giving a fees structure for my course. For semester fees approx. 69000 (Indian rupees) for one semester is charged.

Fees and Financial Aid

The loan is provided by SBI Bank present in our college. The scholarship is also provided depends upon your liability like different schemes are present for scholarships for different students. Also, Canara Bank is also present inside the campus.

Campus Life

Different laboratories are there for different courses. Also, the gymnasium is present for both male and female students. Football, cricket, badminton, basketball courts, volleyball courts, Table tennis courts, and many more are there for extracurricular activities. Also, yoga classes are performed. Participation of boys and girls is present in all fields.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure is quite good. 24*7 Electricity and water. Free wifi throughout the year. Daily cleaning is done. In one room 3 persons share the room. Beds are provided by hostel authority and also a table with chair is provided.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful and friendly they always help in whatever way they can. Senior guide us during interviews and also help in many ways. Alumni also come to college for visits and they share their experiences with us, which actually affects our life very much.

Admission

By Joint Entrance Examination. If you qualify for the joint entrance examination with a good rank position then you are eligible for this college. The counseling process takes place for admission in this college which is conducted by JOSSA.

Faculty

Faculties are very friendly, they teach very well. Qualified professors teach us. Every Professor teaches his guided subject with very interests and depth meaning which makes learning simple. Their way of teaching is just wow.

Reality of Jis college of engineering

Placement Experience:

The students get eligible at 3rd year 6th sem. Though before that you can do internship or freelancing which will increase the weight of your profile. The percentage of student getting placement is around 60-70% and the average package is around 4-5lakhs per annum. The highest package got by a student previous year was around ?10lakhs per annum.

Remarks:

Provide decent jobs to most students. Faculties are helpful and teach well. You can issue 3 books at a time from the library once your library card is made. Classes are held to enhance your communication skills. A lot of items in the canteen and cafeteria. No ragging. There is no ground to play. Very strict rules, has a lot of restrictions. Most students call it a jail, cause you cannot bunk classes. But believe me, it will shape you into a good human being and you will also get placed if you put your effort. Best of luck for your college life.

Remarks:

Positive: provides an atmosphere for free thinking to pursue one's dream and subject. One can study in one stream and study other non-related subjects to stream without any hassle. The academic pressure is minimal. Negatives: needs more outreach for a university of this standard.

Suggestions for selecting good choice

The factors that made me to choose this Institute is the infrastructure and location of the institute and also the placement statistics. Perspective's View

I got this in josaa counselling and it turned out to be pretty good.The admission process was smooth in the online way also I have asked from seniors, it was quite the same for offline as well.The coding and development environment of the college is quite helpful and has emerged. Seniors aren't that helpful but will make you learn a lot. The co curricular activities are extra ordinary and will make you occupied for whole of the college duration and also would develop your overall personality. The faculty here is involved in researches which was the main factors I chose this college. NIT durgapur is one of the good option for btech if anyone is not qualified to good and old IIT. Nit durgapur has ranked 4th position among all NIT's and 30th among all engineering college including all IIT's in NIRF ranking 2021. Admission is done through the qualification in JEE mains. As my rank in JEE advanced was not so good to secure a seat in IIT and my desired branch. so, I was trying to get a seat in top NIT. Thenafter jossa councling I got placed in NIT durgapur and in Metallurgical and Material science engineering.
