Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is focused on one's development in all fields concerned with the course and also to keep one ready for industrial requirements. The campus placement is great and hence training and coaching were focused on the same. The college insists everyone do an internship as part of the curriculum and also an industrial visit is organised as part of the curriculum.
Placement Experience
A lot of companies visit our college for placements. From Wipro, Infosys, TCS to Capgemini all types of companies visit for hiring. MuSigma, Nutanix, Evertz, Accord, KPIT etc are the core companies. The general steps are a round of qualitive grading with MCQ. Then usually a technical interview followed by a group discussion or an HR round.
College Events
There are a lot of events that are celebrated in the college. The main event being Anadyanta a techno-cultural fest. Then there are a lot of open houses, forum fests and intra college activities. In both technical and cultural ways. The Anadyanta is a huge fest and one of the biggest in India. Colleges from around India participate in this.
Fee Structure And Facilities
All mode of payment is accepted by the college. The fee is paid for the course once a year. Extra fee needs to be paid only if the facilities have adhered. For example transport etc. Exam fee needs to be paid every year. The fee payment is transparent and break-down is made clear on joining.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I didn't opt scholarship. But the college provides this for students in economical need. The average sum is about 15k per year.
Campus Life
The overall campus life is good. The gender ratio is about 60-40 as male-female. The extracurricular activities are well provided from college. As mentioned the fest being a huge one creates opportunities in all cultural and technical fields. College Sports teams are well provided. Hackathons are conducted also.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni association is great and well in contact with the college and the alma mater. They meet frequently and plan and execute to help students coming out of college.
Admission
The course Electronics and Communication was a one I dreamt of being in. I knew about the institution and it's excellence personally and had wished to be a part of it. It had the great infrastructure and was autonomous and the lab and research options were great. Their extracurricular activities were also good. Hence after my exam ranking came out I took option of the college.
Faculty
The no. Of faculty in our course alone was about 55-60 including the lab technicians. The average age of the faculty was 35 approximately. All the lecturers were well qualified and about 20 of the above were PhD holders and some were perceiving the same. The tutors were well versed in their fields and made sure the same was imparted.
