BVCOE, Instrumentation and control

Entrance Preview

CET for GGSIPU B.Tech i am a outside delhi sc candidate my rank was around 25k i choose instrumentation and control because its a rare field in Delhi so I thought let's a leap of faith.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Course curriculum was similar to any other ggsipu college( B.Tech), 2 internals(25%) and 1 external(75%) i heard some colleges have 3 internals and best 2 are considered for result. But the passing marks is 50 in every subject.

Internships Opportunities

Some students in ece got into stanford for internship most students get non paid internship most students got internship in psu's through their contacts.

Placement Experience

1.5

Placement opportunities are there for muggers, TCS types IT companies come and get there manforce some goodscoring students got in core companies like cbni etc its difficult for an average instrumentation student to get hired.

College Events

3

This is the existing part many events cultural fest dj nights ganesh chatuthi fashion show technical fest etc extasy also we were invited to the university festivals.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Almost 1 lakh per year 2011-2015 you have to give a cheque at the time of counseling fees these days are more then a lakh they charge 5 thousand for security purposes that is redundable.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes our university has scholarships for economically week students have to apply for it after taking the admissions and there are several criteria for it also.

Campus Life

2.5

Gender ratio was around 70-30 in engineering in cs girls are more in ece, IT, ice girls are around 15 in 55 in EEE girls are rare there are several societies like digital arts society, fashion team, dramatics society, music society 85% students are delhites most students come from middle class families few seats are reserved for management quota.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

Hostel my foot our college doesn't have a boys hostel yes because only have girls hostel our college have 4 canteens food was decent though.

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors were helping interaction with seniors helped a lot in takling exams and other things some seniors become role model with their extra ordinary payscale.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was poor if you have a backlog then you are seriously fucked i had 17 backlogs and I cleared all exam structure is poor because it doesnt give a fair chance to the student who got the backlog. I know its a big university but being bug doesn't mean you can screw up students life.

Faculty

2.5

College faculty were pretty bad there were 1 or 2 good teachers though our hod was pretty bad in teaching the whole system was designed so that we can just pass the exam no one really wanted to teach.

Placement Experience:

There is a training and placement cell in nsut and yes placement is offered in our college. 1. After your 2nd year in btech, you are eligible for internship placement and after 3rd year your are eligible to sit in job placement. 2. There are many good companies that come to nsut, like zomato, meesho, Microsoft, google, azure, adobe, and list is really long. 3. The highest package this year was around 50LPA. The profiles are based on tech - software engineer, non tech - data analysis, core - electrical or mechanical or civil or chemical engineers in core companies like BSES, google silicon etc.

Here placement is average as many opt for higher studies the reason behind this is maybe because only a few companies visit. In which TCS is a mass recruiter. The average package here is 3-4 lakh per annum and the highest goes up to 6lakhs per annum. Here placement ratio is about 50%. I will also opt for higher studies after getting a degree

Remarks:

College management needs to work upon just the placement cell and needs to invent new methods to keep uninterested students glued and up for studies.
