What Students Say
Likes
- Seniors are great and really helpful. You can always reach out to them for any problems
- Societies offer a lot of experience in terms of organizing events, learning different skills, making new connections and creating memories.
- Placements were good, not as good as Tier 1 or top Tier 2 colleges, but it was decent.
Dislikes
- Most of the teachers are not very cooperative and can be very adamant about a lot of things.
- Very strict rules regarding everything from college grounds, sports facilities etc
- Student politics, but that happens in every college, so it is what it is.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to do software engineering so I chose this course. Faculty is average mostly. Teaching methods are mostly outdated and even though the classes have projectors and allthe required arrangements, the teachers still don't use any modern aids. Exams are like every other college in India- mid term and end term completing the semester in 5- 5.5 months generally.
Internships Opportunities
Intership oppurtunies were very low and no company offered a paid internship on campus. The offered interships were generally from companies such as Nagarro and grapecity. The role for which interships were offered was SDE mostly.
Placement Experience
Companies start coming for placements after 3rd year. A decent number of companies visited and made some good offers as well. Most of the students got the oppurtunities and placements. For detailed placement, you can check the website. Highest placement was 18 lpa (1 offer), 15 lpa (2 offers), 13.6 lpa (50 offers).
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees incrases by around 10% every year and the whole course costed around 6.5 lakh without any scholarships. I was able to get merit cum means scholarship which halped me save some money. There are no paid internship oppurtunities in the college as of now.
Campus Life
There is no annual fest in the college. There was a biannual fest ( which happens once in 2 years) which happens sometimes, sometimes not. The tech fest is BVEST and that is also average, depending on the organising committee, and the societies events. Classrooms are good with ACs.
Admission
Admission was through JEE Mains marks, I got admission in IT branch with 92 percentile from General category. The forms were filled online through IP university website and verification was offline. The process was smooth.
Other Applied Colleges
Jaypee Institute of Information Technology University - [JIIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
It was expensive
