Experience of college life

I will not ever try to give a bad remark on my college.As it helped me a lot in many ways and I hope it will help me for the rest 2 years too.The college does its best.Its just like a second home for every students.I am not trying to promote my college by saying all these.But genuinely Future Institute of Engineering and Management (in short FIEM) is one of the best college I have ever found in my life.After my school it has become my second home.I do lots of enjoyment and in a way am learning too many things.I just love my college and grateful enough to have our beloved HOD Sir Mr.Tapas Roy who guides every students in a better way.Every year there is a mock interview which is itself held by the passed out students.Passed out students guides the 4th year students and teaches them too.

The course curriculum is according to WBUT or MAKAUT.The course curriculum is at a medium level neither too difficult nor too easy.The course structure focusses on every departmental subjects reagardless of which stream you are in.The Exams and labs are not so frequent but it gives much time to study for exams and its chilled.MAKAUT has also started a new rule that is we have to give 4 internal tests mainly 2viva and 2 tests so that we can be fully prepared for the MAKAUT board examination.

So our college has 4 clubs mainly,Xplorica which is totally related to technical related activities,then comes Estrella which is related to drama making short films ,then comes Sportivo which is related to sports activities and lastly Culrav which is related to dancing,singing, fashion.To take part in these clubs one has to give kind of interview or show little talents so that the clubs can take them.So every year and almost most of the months of a year all these 4 clubs organizes different events to give a better chance to the students to showcase their hidden Xplorica has 2 events Yantra which is an intracollege event and Phoenix which is an intercollege event.Likewise every club has their own events which takes place in a particular months of the year.Culrav organizes Flames and Sportivo organizes Xaplotes and Vibgiyor.

The fee structure is feasible compared to other private institutes.Anyone can afford the courses. Total course fee payable for B.tech students: At the time of admission the amount to be paid is Rs.71000=40000(Tuition fee for first year Sem-I)+Rs.5000(Admission fee)+Rs.4000[Student's welfare, sports and games(Rs.1000 per annum)]+Rs.1000(Student's activities)+Rs.6000(Library+ Book bank)+Rs.12000[Caution deposit(Refundable)]+Rs.2200[University development fees(Payable to WBUT)]+Rs.800(Admission kit) Tuition fees for the rest 7 semesters are: 1st year Sem-II : Rs.40000 2nd year Sem-III : Rs.41000 2nd year Sem- IV :Rs.41000 3rd year Sem-V: Rs.42000 3rd year Sem-VI: Rs.42000 4th year Sem- VII: Rs.43000 4th year Sem-VIII: Rs.43000 Total Amount : Rs.3,62,000

Our college has a deal with NIIMs bank which provides students loan.There is good scholarships too.Scholarships are provided mainly by giving an examination named Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search.A student after giving the examination if selected will get Rs.4000 monthly and Rs.5000 for books and basic science scholars for DST-INSPIRE Scholarship will get Rs. 5000 monthly.First 10 boys candidates and 10 girls candidates will get Laptop as a prize.

Extracurricular activities are awesome.As I said previously that we have 4 clubs Xplorica,Estrella,Sportivo and Culrav.Xplorica is for technical related events.Estrella for short film making and drama.Sportivo for sports related.Lastly,Culrav for cultural related like dancing,singing and fashion.All these 4 clubs organizes their respective events and gives students the chance to showcase their talent.These four clubs are mainly run by the students itself.Beside HOD of CSE department has full cooperations with the students of these clubs.He helps the students in every way.

There is no hostel facilities in our college.But there are PG's nearby for students who come from abroad to study in our college.So two well known PG's are are there namely Comfort and Vivekananda which has dealt with our college.Our college recommends these two for any students who want any PG nearby.The average rentals for girl's PG is around Rs. 5500 ( one person want to stay in a room)and Rs.5000 each (if two persons stay in one room) and for boys Rs.4500 is the average rentals.Now this PG's itself has food house so the rentals includes food cost and maintanance cost.They give 3 time meals mainly.In weekdays they provide the meals at morning,evening and night but in weekends they provide the meals at morning,afternoon and night.The foods are also good.Boys has to go to food house but girls are provided food in their own rooms.For girls there is CCTV and security guard too for full safety.The last time to get into the PG for girls is 10:00pm and for boys is 11:00pm.Girls and boys PG are at different buildings.So there is full safety.Boys are not allowed in Girls PG and vice versa.

Every Alumni are good enough.They guide us in a better way.Every year our college oraganises seminars so that the alumnus can tell us their experience and guide us in a better way.They are very much helpful.Seniors are also very helpful.Their are many alumus but mainly Rahul Kumar Yadav is the best one.He guides the students in every possible way.

I got admission in this college by giving WBJEE entrance exam.One can get into the college by giving JEE mains too.In 2018, the cutoff rank of this college was around 36000. The college also checks the marks of class 10 and 12 specially the marks of maths , chemistry,physics. I chose B.tech in Computer Science and Engineering because I am much interested in programming and learning technical related stuffs.

The Faculties are highly qualified.Almost 70% of the faculties are from Jadavpur University.The faculties teaches us in an interesting way so that students can understand clearly and also they take regular classes.The faculties are just like our second parents.They guide us in a better way no one else can.
