Remarks

One of the best college in Trivandrum when we consider the rate of investment and also the level of pedegogy. Major limitation include lack of space in the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum followed is as per Kerala technological university. The system gives more importance to practical and technical skills rather than convention approaches. The college provides internship opportunities as well as placement training programmes to entire students free of cost. Industrial visit are also permitted by the college authorities as per KTU norms.

Placement Experience

The companies visited the campus include TCS,Wipro, Amazon, Tata communications, Envestnet,Qburst, Mercedes Benz,Zia semiconductors,Flytxt etc. The placement is coordinated by the placement cells. The placement process consists of an aptitude test followed by multiple rounds of interviews likes technical,HR and in some cases there will be a group discussion or a coding test as per the companies specification.

College Events

The college conducts is flagship techno cultural Fest Aagneya once in every year. The event has witnessed a massive participation in the recent years. There are a lot of technical activities going on in the college which are conducted by various technical society's like IEEE,ISTE,ASME,CSI,ICA etc. The college also has different NGO 's functioning, which are conducting various programs in the state to support the needy people, these NGO's include Inspire, velicham etc. The college also have an active Nss wing. Two political parties also functions in the college and they is an democratically elected student body which coordinates the student activities. The college provides an excellent platform to nourish the technical as well as managerial capability of a student also with social responsibilities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fees of the course is around 40000 Indian Rupees. Each year costs around 10000 rupees, additional student has to hear examination fees which is around 1000 rupees for a semester. The mode of payment is via cash or cheque. The college is highly transparent in financial matters.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides scholarship based on merit to selected candidates, also,all the scholarships granted by the central and state government can be availed by providing necessary documents. The eligibility criteria is mentioned in the government portals.

Campus Life

Except the mechanical department all other departments has female candidates as majority. The college is having an area of 6 acres. The labs are well equipped and students interest in robotics has specific groups, there are a lot of specific interest groups functioning in the college for different fields. The college conducts around 15 technical workshops yearly. A lot of opportunities are provided for the students to conduct various programmes as per the rules. Also there is a Gym facility available in the college along with volleyball, basketball, badminton, and take tennis facilities inside the campus premises.

Hostel Facilities

The college has two hostel for female students. They are shared room hostels and they provide good quality traditional Kerala cuisines. At present there is no hostel availability for boys inside campus premises. But there are a lot of accommodations available around outside the campus within 1 km radius on an average of 5000 per month.

Alumni/Alumna

College has a very good alumni network and seniors are very helpful to junior in every aspects. The college started in early 2000s and amount of alumni is less, but still they are highly functions and which conducts annual meetings

Admission

I got the admission via KEAM entrance test. The process is purely based on the merit rank list generated by the KEAM authorities which is based on KEAM score and normalised 12th standard scores. The institution is the second best college in Trivandrum. It is located in the heart of Trivandrum city.

Faculty

The college has five major departments with each department comprising of 15 faculties on average including professors, assistant professor, associate professor and guest faculties. Average age is about 35 and maintaining a student teacher ratio of 1:20. The senior professors are highly experienced faculties and majority of them have doctoral degrees as well as InterNations publications. The level of pedegogy is on par with the best available in the state.

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA.
